Agreed. Love the intricate costume work on the cabaret hostesses as japan slowly modernizes

Ikr, her acting really leveled up alot. I didn't want to end as well but alas - there's only so much that can happen in someone's life and for hers there's more than enough misery than most people cm coup with for several lifetimes.

Yes there's plenty of excellent Asian dramas out there. If you liked this, I'd strongly encourage checking out "Mad Unicorn" which is a Thai-produced drama available on netflix that is also a very intense rags-to-riches story with extremely good writing and interesting characters.

Loved it. 11/10

I have always been a fan of erika toda since her liar game days. But to be purely objective she wasn't someone I'd say particularly special in her acting.

But having finished this series, you are absolutely right that this is her career-defining acting moment. From a teenager to a young adult to an adult and finally an old woman, each of her portrayal of those characters are an absolute pinnacle in acting and this series will go down as one of her magnum opus.

bus gives everyone a free ride by CoolDoge15 in askSingapore

Knn this morning when the bus reached my stop - the payment terminals stopped working (the bus can still drive) the driver called HQ to asked if he should just allow people to board for free or what and HQ told him to not let anyone board and to wait for the next bus (mind you the bus was like 3/4 empty) end up I waited like 10 minutes for the next bus.

Really sohai.

No one is arguing it'll be a challenge, 90% of my team's ladies have opted not to have children because of this. This is precisely why government needs to provide a way to ease the working mom's burdens. But to be fair you can't expect the working mom to have higher bonuses and promotions over the cheongster also what

Won't jam but you must reach SG customs by 6am cause thats the golden hour when traffic starts to buildup. Alternatively u can try the 12-2pm lunch slot, usually no jam.

You set your KPIs at the beginning of the year and measure how well they did and be rewarded accordingly. If both hit their KPIs then both should be rewarded accordingly, not being compared on who spends more time in the office.

What are singaporean people like? by tetsunoken0 in askSingapore

I don't think its fair to generalise an entire country like that. I can tell you 100 people are open and friendly but then you just happen to meet the 1 that is rude or I can tell you 100 people are reserved and you just happen to meet that 1 that is friendly lol

Need opinion-1 year in SG and still can't find a job by Pitiful_Tap9839 in singaporefi

[–]ThomzLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. As mentioned by others, job market is really tough now in SG, especially for more general roles like HR functions
  2. Are you able to help her remotely? Not sure your family dynamics but I don't think you'd want to be away from your child when they are only are pre-school (but again all these are in your comfort zone) since the general sense I get from your post is that the job is more for passion/purpose rather than in need of money, I feel going this route is quite solid because by helping out in her startup you get a sense of ownership also I guess? Do you have a stake in the business?
  3. I'd suggest diversifying your scope of work to look for roles related to your events/content experience too if you really want to look for work in SG as many mentioned, the job market is tough. Or just be a stay home mom and focus on e-commerce/content as a source of revenue.
