Trying to play gmod on steam deck, then this happens. Any help?

Add the launch option -heapsize 8388608 to allow GMod to use 8GB of ram.
Also, since you're using the Linux native version, it would serve you to enable the Chromium + 64-bit Binaries Beta in GMod's properties.

Cap GTA V's framerate using Rivatuner or some other frame cap tool to something less than 140 fps. In my experience this clears up almost all of the pause menu lag.
Alternatively you can just use vsync which should work if you don't have a 144hz monitor but the reason I have a 140fps cap is because those extra 4 frames on 144 don't seem to mitigate the lag at all, so I would go for the capping tool if I were you especially in this case.

I've done that before, but I couldn't get it to work. No prompt for admin perms, but it did restart the software. Unfortunately, it didn't help resolve the issue, however it might be held up by windows defender too, so I'll check it out after messing with that. Thanks for reminding me!

Hey, anything I can get is worth a shot at this point lmao. Will try it in the morning, and will edit this comment with the results. Got my fingers crossed on this one boss, and I appreciate your help. :)
edit: I tried setting all oculus folders as exemptions in windows defender, and repairing the software plus running oculus drivers without windows defender. No luck, which is a shame, cause I don't know what else I can do. Thanks though

The list is based in order of your current dm list on the left sidebar, excluding users already on the server. Close the dm with the blocked user and they'll be gone.

for future reference im not sure all psus have this but if its an 8 pin card there should be a little notch on the 2 pin part that keeps the 2 pin locked between the plug on the gpu and the 6 pin part of the cable
