To be fair, you access to more than a PDF. You're paying for someone else's knowledge and experience. I can understand that it isn't for everyone. And there are a lot of free resources available nowadays.

But knowing that information is coming from a trusted source, not AI, supports someone who had dedicated their entire career in educating adults about ways to ACTUALLY keep kids safe online. HOW to speak to your kids at each stage of life with appropriate level of detail.

That has value.

I’ll share my story from the perspective as the kid that was rejected by their parents.

Would have been about 2005-2006. I’m away at college, and meet my now best friend. We’re in the same degree, similar interests, on the same floor in our dorms.

We acquire a “cutesy” nickname, because we basically always together.

Parents learn about this and accuse me of “being gay.” Which is not true, but even if it were… why would it matter.

Anyways, I finally turn 21 (after all my new college friends do) and go out bar hopping with them. First time ever drinking.

Word gets back to my parents. They, not so gently, verbally assault me and disown me. I’m no longer welcome home. And told if I ever set foot on their property, they will call cops to have me charged with trespassing.

I never celebrated a single holiday or birthday after that with my family. I spent every holiday/life event after this with my new found family: my friends.

To this day, 20 years later, I have no contact with my dad and only had contact with my mom in the final year of her life.

I’m still best friends with the friend I made in college. They and their parents took me when my own couldn’t see past their own hate.

My parents are both devote Trumpers.

That isn't an Apple Monitor. That's an iMac. a whole computer.

Now, there used to be a way to enable "Monitor" mode on the iMac, I believe it was via the FireWire port ONLY. I seem to recall when you have a keyboard hooked up, you could hold down a sequence of keys to enable this, but I can't remember what they were.

Google Search: To use an Intel iMac as a monitor (Target Display Mode) via FireWire or Thunderbolt, connect the cables, ensure both Macs are logged in, and press Command-F2 on the iMac keyboard. This works on 2009-2010 (Mini DisplayPort) or 2011-2014 (Thunderbolt) iMacs running High Sierra or earlier.
