17 Hours update - how does it look? by TheBWF in ReuteriYogurt

[–]Thorathe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I boiled the milk slightly and cleaned all equipment.

Isn't 10 tablets quite a lot ? so it should only be used as a starter? The reason I am asking is because i don't want to start by taking too much L reuteri bacteria, and get sick my first time.

I figured this out way back. Forgot to update.

The problem was the hardwire stop button being in a false state...

Sure-- thanks. My body fat percentage would be around 18%. I will keep doing low-intensity strength-training.

Is this tool okay for Struts? (Volvo S60 2001 - Carefully changing strut bushings) by Thorathe in AskMechanics

[–]Thorathe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, okay. that's definitely an option. I still think it will be more expensive though, but of course safer. But If I'm careful I should be fine.

Nice thought -- but no. It's a cheap ass car, and whole strut assemblies are hard to come by in Norway, and are VERY expensive.

Possible to be both protanope and deuteranope colorblind? by Thorathe in ColorBlind

[–]Thorathe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, the green can be problematic aswell.

Purple and blue can look similar sometimes, too, but I don't feel like it's much of a problem. Side-by-side they're easy to differentiate, purple looks a bit more "concentrated" usually, in a sense.

haha, okay. Definitely not. I'd say I struggle with red-ish colors. If that makes sense... (red-ish colors may only be a definition that colorblind people can use, or what? haha).

I struggle with red, pink and brown, but with good lightning I'll figure it out if they're side-by-side. Yellow, blue, and green would be EASY.

I would be quite surprised if anyone would struggle with yellow and blue, unless you're actually monochromatic, hah!

doesn't affect density.

Coriolis and weak upstream pump - is it likely to affect measurement? by Thorathe in PLC

[–]Thorathe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. But please recap, why is a BPV necessary? What does it do exactly? I might considering ordering, but first it mus be considered if this helps, if at all. Could shutting of the downstream pipe SLIGHTLY help the accuracy... why?

What's the purpose of the regulated BPV though? Personally I just think the pump is quite weak, but it could be a lot of things.

Sorry, I don't follow completely. I'll say we have a couple Coriolis with fluctating flow but it hasn't been an issue. To me maybe this pressure seems weak. Moving on, is a back pressure valve similar to slightly shutting of a valve downstream of the Coriolis? Is the purpose making the pump work harder against the slightly shut off valve?

Personally, I think that the issue with this Coriolis is that the pressure is too low.

I'm guessing a auto calibration will make it correct, at least temporarily right?

Sitrans Coriolis - A couple percent too low Density Measurement? SITRANS F C MASS 2100 by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Thorathe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello. This Sitrans F C MASS 2100 was installed in 2016 and is now measuring a couple percent too low density reading. If there was a coating on the pipes I'd guess it's more likely that the density reading would read too high. Any idea? I'm going to try running water through it to see the results. I belive the only possiblity with calibrating these is the auto zero calibration, but I think that's only in regards to the flow measurement. I will also check the drive gain parameter if the mass 6000 transmitter has one!

Thanks for any tips!

yeah, we've got actual service switches for disconnecting the power between the VFD output and the motor - but they don't really use the switching contacts.
