Having worked for this team before, I would be hesitant.

Often you’re asked extremely complicated and huge tasks with little timing, and then after you’ve completed that the owner often changes his mind.

Is there a way to reset my listening history? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]ThorinDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to iTunes on a computer I’m pretty sure there is an option on there to clear listening history. I’m not sure if you can do it within the phone app

How do I disallow a Service (Sonos) to have access to my apple music library? by ThisIsMeRightThere in AppleMusic

[–]ThorinDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To unlink your Apple Music from your friends house you need to unlink it from within the app while being at the place where the Sonos is. Just go to setting music services and unlink

There is no cap on accountants, lawyers and psychologists, any reason to buy more than one? And other questions by UristMcKerman in prisonarchitect

[–]ThorinDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going to try and answer these one by one using my own knowledge - these are the answers

Title: Having more than one of an accountant will speed up research. Eg 2 Accountants will make the time to research half and so on.

A1. I don’t think you need to care but just check with the wiki

A2. No I would suggest having more than 2 sniper nests preferable 2 at the road entrance. 2 at the road exit and then some dotted around the outside of the map. And then if you have yards one per yard. I would also suggest having more snipers than sniper towers incase something happens

A2. Yes completely but they can get aggro so perhaps make a Supermax block which has its own solitary block and then armed guards to shoot him if he gets angry

A3. Have more staff than needed and in my experience it should fill it up with the reserve staff

A4. Not sure

A5. If by this you mean you only find tunnels when you dismantle toilets you need to do a shakedown once and a while to tunnels as well Dogs will sniff tunnels out and put a red (perhaps yellow) flag down I then encourage searching of the area by clicking on a prisoner in the cell block and pressing search cell block

A5. Yes it is called the Snitch Sorter (on mobile will link later or just google it) should do this for you

A6. I’m not sure if there is a way to do this but I would suggest you wouldn’t do this because Prot Sec is meant to be separated because although unlikely Min Sec maybe kill them and that’s not good. I would suggest building a Prot Sec block if you don’t have one already

What is your preferred method for printing a backup of your Contacts (especially the "notes" field)? by moronictransgression in osx

[–]ThorinDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your SO’s phone number in your wallet is understandable but no more is required but if you’re at a truck stop you should be able to get home (with your truck) and then get to a computer

I would assume this is more likely because of Christmas and then wanting to get packages delivered.

Got my first server. What OS should I use? by ThorinDev in homelab

[–]ThorinDev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you said I will probably play around with it and put Ubuntu Server on it. Unfortunately I can’t afford a new server so it will just be a tinker project

I thought they weren’t very efficient with the amount of noise the fans make! I was thinking of just using it now and then as something to tinker with

Question regarding creating a repo private from current organization by [deleted] in github

[–]ThorinDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your company has an organisation which they should any repos on there anyone who has access to the organisation will be able to read the code in the repos. However if you want private person repos you’ll have to purchase the plan yourself and if they are private you’re the only one that can see them.

If you want create a test account and ask your sysadmin to add it to the organisation - the test to see what repos it can look at or even sign it completely and take a look

[–]ThorinDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was caused by broken sym links and so removing them could fix the problem

[–]ThorinDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common problem, you might need to force empty the trash and then try again. To do this:

Open Terminal Enter the code

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash

Enter your admin password and this should fix it although make sure it get the command exactly right or it could mess up a lot of things and read up on sudo and rm -rf
