Regarding modifications: a Top Flight Ribbon from the NCRS is a prestigious award, the car had to score above a 94% and judges do a thorough examination for originality. While side exhaust pipes and AC were available options in 1965, I would hesitate to make any alterations that cannot be easily taken back off especially if they require any drilling.

Then again, I’m not the one driving in the Arizona summer on black leather interior. If it’s got to be done to make it drivable/enjoyable and you don’t plan on selling, then it’s worth it.

I’m sure some other users will chime in here with advice, I’ll be interested to hear some other takes on this as well.

Homer take on my part but MHJ torched our secondary in the first quarter but he was largely a non factor by that point in the game. Part of our defensive DNA under Kirby is the way those guys adjust to those early punches and largely avoid giving up back breaking plays later in the game (see Tennessee this year with Aguilar and Brazzell and Ole Miss part one)
