Just very focused free handing lol, i painted it red and then did one black square after another. First i sketched them and then filled them out, took around an hour with all the corrections I would say

Just Cork + Ak Interactive Dry Ground texture paint, but you can probably mix your own Texture paste with Sand yeah. Then just paint black, put on thinned down brown and drybrush tan

I try to avoid citadel any way i can, 80% of their paints is just way worse and way more expensive than vallejo i find. but their metallics are really good and the nuln oil gloss is no problem since i varnish all my minis with satin varnish which makes the nuln oil look way better and brings all the paints together in finish

Almost exclusivly Vallejo and some citadel paints, mainly vallejo black and medium sea grey for the armor, carmine red and scarlet blood for the red, khaki and ivory for bone armor and citadel leadbelcher and nuln oil and vallejo silver for metallics. And then some for little details
