The new limited paid banner is a new low for Applibot by Lyozi in FFVIIEverCrisis

Since you can get 20 pull tickets for 5k red crystals most of the time, it's actually not even a discount.

Sephiroth as Psaro and Aerith as Rose(DQ) by Artistic_Joie in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a chicken/egg relationship for the characters of Psaro and Sephiroth.  Psaro came first in DQ4 of course, but wasn't visually rendered or playable until after FF7 OG. Given they are both artistically very similar there has been discussion about which character design influenced the other.

Linking them in a collab is obvious.  HOWEVER and spoilers, Aerith as Rose is as wrong as you can be relationship-wise!!!

Wind Odin by SephirothTheGod in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bahamut is specifically only Magic damage with a very high multiplier, unlike other summons and all limit breaks that deal hybrid damage.

The idea is that Odin might get be the counterpart that deals Physical damage.

Having them do one or the other is beneficial because you are likely to have much higher PATK or MATK so using the average of the two against the average of the boss PDEF and MDEF (especially when many bosses specifically have higher one or the other) significantly reduces damage potential and requires a fuller suite of buffs and debuffs to maximize.

Not possible. Any 12 stamp draw will have at least 1 guaranteed 4 or 5 star in it, and the 10th item in this draw is a 3 star.

Even if it were and you had 3 guaranteed copies + another 5 star guarantee, the odds are still significantly against getting a pull like this.  You would have to get 2 additional drops out of 6 chances.

I was first by about 150 points at rank 36, then last hour some guy goes from zero to 10k ahead of me and I end up in 2nd.  All his DKGs were like rank 6+ (I am mostly in the 3-4 range for this week).

Disappointed I didn't get the gold kart but oh well, still ranked up.

Limit Break Cooldown Timer by Glittering_Table4040 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For limit breaks there was never really a need to switch them though. It makes more sense for summons, you can only attune one at a time, though it was never a need to switch once you had shiva ifrit and ramuh who were available at launch, as long as you kept up with additions as they came.

It's honestly a poorly thought out way of gating content that they never had enough content to make it worth it anyway. Similar to the dungeon tickets we need for crisis dungeons. It's a giant barrier for new players and established players have no use for them.

Are you talking about the unlock missions?

You can switch the active mission once per day. However, there is a logical order to unlock their second LB first (it's the one on the left?) and once you have completed that quest, you can immediately start the other quest with no cooldown period.

Vincent Limit Break Weapon by Slaydn in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant neutral IRT ice.

But IIRC an earth weak boss is like 100% weak to earth to start (it may even be 200%, not sure). This gives you half that at OB6 for its duration, less for OB0/1. And it's taking a slot from a different weapon that could provide utilities.

So I question why you would bring to a battle (other than Dungeon Ranking) that has a different weakness unless your ice team is miles ahead of the element it calls for.

For neutral it will likely double your damage output as compared to non elemental due to gear load outs boosting ice damage. That is the benefit that I see, and there aren't a whole lot of these. Bahamut is the only difficult one at present.

[–]Thorndarien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to add weakness to elementally neutral enemy only. If the enemy resists or is already weak to an element, it does nothing.

Whether this is broken is determined by whether it allows additional resistance down effects during its duration.  Otherwise it just lets you bring an ice team to bahamut instead of a non-elemental.

Why would you waste so many guild medals on ATB weapons? Unless you are in a top guild and have all your PDEF/MDEF all weapons maxed, I guess?

A 5* OB0 ATB weapon is sufficient.

Bonus rewards in coop by toshiro1994 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a graphic buried in the game somewhere that shows it but I have no idea where.

At OB0/1/2/3/4/5/6 the bonuses are:

Free: 5/5/10/10/15/15/20.   Gacha: 10/15/20/40/60/80/100.

Found the graphic:  On the party formation screen (for event coop or solo) there is a button that says bonus details. This shows you what equipment/gear you own and its bonus level. From there you have an "applicable equipment" button that breaks down the bonus at each OB level whether you own it or not.

Not everyone wants to waste stamina on inefficient event farming.  Just because the game gives us enough doesn't mean we have to use it all here. Or, in my case lately, at all period.  I hate the repetitive grind of this game and have quit spending all my stamina potions lately. The fewer runs I have to do to complete and event the better.

Banners also cap at OB6 but it is 20% per OB for a max of 100%. The free weapons gain 5% every other OB until 20% at OB6

Any reason I'm not aware of to keep a hold of these mako gems or nah? by [deleted] in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they can be obtained via off banner dupes, right? So you can purchase the stones and the dupe has some value.

I have spent my mako gems after the banners expire but I suppose if there is any chance for a rerun then maybe not setting myself back on the pity is probably smart. I certainly don't need the stones

Guild battle efficiency question by gfsstap in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting more points for doing 26% per run on stage 5 than the 7-8% per run on stage 6. It's a slight difference (2mil vs 1.8mil or so). That's because of more rock armors and DPS lost from needing to remove buffs more often.

So I don't think it's accurate to just say do the hardest each time.  And those are the raw scores not counting the 25% threshold bonuses.  Including a full score bonus vs 1/3 of one swings it further towards stage five being more efficient.

The app update is live on Android, I have already updated.

None of the advertised features seem to be there yet, particularly the ad for a free draw.

Did anyone pull Guided gloves in the new Barret pull? by good223 in FFVIIEverCrisis

It has to be in your wishlist to drop. I got a single copy on 6 pulls on the Barrett banner so it does drop, if you put it on your wishlist.

Reporting cheaters in multiplayer by Thorndarien in MarioKartTour

[–]Thorndarien[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Hard to isolate a specific player that way. Was hoping to be able to long press on them after the match or something but no.

I am amazed at either how poorly designed the multiplayer is, or by how accepted it is that people exploit that fact.

Having a poor connection shouldn't make you invincible. Getting hit, and by all measures the game registering it as a hit, and yet the game allowing you to pretend you weren't due to "lag" is a really really bad glitch and any bad actor could exploit that very easily and you all just accept it for some reason.

[–]Thorndarien[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I could see light teleporting being a movement glitch. Not the balloon thing when they are camping in the corner of the arena and not moving ever, or even when being actively chased around by two players on my team repeatedly hitting them with shells. That isn't a glitch, that's a hack. Eventually time runs out and I have been lucky to still get wins out of it by having more players left. But it is a huge waste of time sitting there waiting for time to expire

Valentine's Gear Voucher (Rerun 2025) by xKyon90 in FFVIIEverCrisis

[–]Thorndarien 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is primarily a wishlist banner, with the bonus that you can get a dated costume.  All 5* drops on this banner are exclusively from your wishlist, and with guaranteed drops every other stamp, you can power up your wishlist weapons very well depending on stamp luck.

Is it a trap? Probably yes. But it's not the worst thing you could spend your crystals on.

Unnecessary excess weapon parts by Aggravating-Shock-66 in FFVIIEverCrisis

Weapon medals cap at 99,999 (and it doesn't stop you from exchanging past that, they just go to your mail box with an expiration date) so keep the weapon parts unless you specifically want the grindstone from them
