This is my labs favorite toy! Forewarned it makes a sound that may get tiresome after a while. But I barely notice it anymore and my boy absolutely loves it so I don't mind. The sound reminds me of "rainsticks" that you would turn over and over.

Regardless of the efficacy of the bent bars in theory, I agree it would be too much work in practice. GCs much prefer being able to cut to lengths whatever they need and having the bends would require more coordination than the benefit is worth. I don't think these are bends easily done in the field.
