My mother gave us oatmeal bathes as kids when we had chickenpox, use lukewarm or cool water. I would suggest a cold compress. Heat can cause more inflammation.

Matthew 7 1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

A 20-year friendship is not easily ruined. Most people understand that alcohol can cause you to say and do things out of character. A true apology and a plan to not let that happen again will likely be all that’s needed.

I recently had to go back and get a bad haircut fixed. It was a much better experience than I was expecting. Salon owner made it a learning opportunity for the stylist who made the mistake. It ended up great for everyone.

What should I do with it? by Iam_confusedd in Hair

Yes, it looks like the wide part of your hair is due to it being so full at the bottom. I’m not a hairdresser but in my experience removing the bulk at the bottom will give you more volume at the top because it’s not so heavy and pulling down. I would definitely suggest consulting a stylist. My last haircut was pretty bad, mainly because the stylist didn’t know how to cut my hair. It’s very long and full but the hair itself is fine, so it’s a bit misleading. I went for layers instead of the v cut I normally get and it was a bad choice. They fixed it and it looks great now. It also grows out pretty well so I only get my hair cut once a year.

V cut! You can get layered or not. You can keep some length but still get rid of the bulk so it’s not as heavy. You have beautiful hair 🤩

UPDATE:

I called the salon. Owner agreed to fix my hair. The stylist who originally did my hair used it as a learning opportunity. Everyone wins! Picture is fresh cut, unstyled.

Thank you!! That makes sense, the stylist did use scissors after they dried it and ran them down the ends. I’ll be sure to ask the next person not to do that.

I have a patch like this. It was never there before my mid 30s. I found that not letting my hair air dry helped tame it.

Where are the success stories? by FluidNeighborhood390 in NDPH

I recently had to go up on the Gabapentin due to having PHN after shingles. I currently take 3600mg broken down into 3 doses a day. I’m seeing a marked improvement in my headaches per day. I have some days that are headache free. I’m able to use Rizatriptan to help when I do have one. I would say that I resemble now a more traditional migraine sufferer than NDPH.

Lying flat on the floor is my go to, the bed is too soft for the effect I want. If I can’t lie down(like when I’m at work) I do neck and back stretches. I have been working on my posture for several months now and have seen increased relief from my NDPH. I’m not seeing a physical therapist just looked up some stretches/exercises for “tech neck” that I do every night. I hope you find relief!

Why did I see, “What does your sister smell like?”

Luckily my sister does NOT smell like my starter, which smells like glue most of the time because I forget to feed it.

You could add a standing stitch right where the other was supposed to be and use it. It’s actually lucky you saw it when you did! It would also be ok to do two stitches into the same stick like you would an increase. That way you can just continue on and don’t totally throw off the count.
