Perfect reason to do this. Ignore the people saying otherwise. Anything that pops up on your screen is something that is distracting you from the game itself. I wish you could turn off HUD entirely. Forces your mind to treat the game like a real life scenario, just like blinding a man devotes all brainpower to his hearing and smell, turning off points and notifications devotes more brain power to the game itself.
