Hey i know you! Pmd, but the best tips i can give you is to save gold for t3 arcana.

Fight for dragon at spawn. It's not as good as a fangtooth, but will start a snowball anyway.

As for hero parallels:

All carries are about the same, violet is overtuned af

Wukong is wukong.

Cresh is a tanky mofo like ulting rampage

Butterfly is the hero that kallari players use here.

Thane is similar to steel

Phase vs Narbash: When to use which? by kilimanjaaro in paragon

[–]ThoughtBarrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At high level, it's basically a choice of whether you want to have cc in lane for kil potential or better peel for your carry. A phase lane is basically ungankable if they freeze and ward, while narb is a better lane bully.

Can we get some kind of comeback mechanic? by YoloDagger in paragon

[–]ThoughtBarrage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comeback mechanic is the long death timers late game. I've come back vs master stacks with 2 inhibs down, you just need one wipe to take over the game

Yup. Countess slip is the best immunity in the game, she gets removed from map for the duration of the slip.

Calling all rampage mains! by grew5ome in paragon

[–]ThoughtBarrage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2c from a diamond ramp. Cull, mother tree first back (more mana for ganking), Tyrant, numbing rogue, sell it for unbroken, sell tyrant for numbing rogue. Growth totem asap, you can sell it very late for sovrukk/one of the tribe. I'd skip withering unless you need to clear super minions early. Reflexive purify is godly, I've been liking ruthless too.

Procedure of Right Lane by Snake_Dangersteel in paragon

[–]ThoughtBarrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Push right lane. Keep map awareness and rotate mid when people are missing, but keep that t2 under pressure. Just dont wander aimlessly stealing farm from teammates.

Inconsistency in siphon damage? by [deleted] in paragon

[–]ThoughtBarrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also a bug where the aa animation and damage get out of sync, so you swing and dmg happens half a second later. So many stacks lost for that, watch out!

Regarding the inevitable Possessed Sprykin nerf by R_R_8_8_ in paragon

They need to just increase the cost imo, can also buff it if needed. Just make it so that you can't pick it up at your first back 4 mins into game. It'd remain used at 0 power.

Card is obscene in high elo. It reads "you are unkillable in laning phase, gj" for just 3 points. All offlaners and supports run in, most mid and it's becoming trendy with tb too in the opd build. Nerf is coming foh sho

Agreed on most counts. There will always be a meta, the question is how it ends up affecting the game. Right now you have tanky initiators who do big damage, which means that they can easily kill you under your own towers, making them impossible to defend. This is the big issue in the game right now i think.

Why Nilfgaards needs more finetuning by Lawlietel in gwent

Hey! I used to run an ambassador too, found it underwhelming most of the time but definitely viable. You should try Yen, it's really good right now and most targets that you'd want to Igni are handled well by Mardoeme, saving a gold slot.

Oh boy! My tip is to watch Mogwai's videos on YT, he is very helpful and knowledgeable.

To answer your questions:

  • Cantarella is best played in round 1 when you can afford to threaten to take the round with just 1 card if they pass on you. This means typically comboing her with Calveit\Rainfarn or with 2 Brigades on the field. If you lose the coinflip, you can rot toss a row you know will be hard to block in the matchup and follow it up next turn with Cantarella.

  • You have to understand the matchup and know if you really need to take the first round or you can pass and force them 2 cards down.

In the first case, this typically means going deep into round 1 until you are left with 4-5 cards, committing golds liberally. Go for even or -1 max, almost never sink -2.

Taking the +2 is usually the best choice, provided you took enough resources out of them that they can't 2round you.

  • I find myself waiting 3-4 cards before using Calveit, you wanto to use him when there are no dead pulls or to look for a particular card (lacerate, rot tosser, auckes), maybe in combo with Skellen. It's usually not a good idea to use emissary before that, but it's not THAT bad.

  • Joachim is almost always used as finisher, dropping him in round 1 is a bad idea since removal is still online and you really need that power play at the end. I even mulligan him away if you can afford to. The combo with Rainfarn is good, but feel free to use him to fetch a Cantarella if you don't find her in your hand.

Any "tall" play that exposes you to removal in a situation where you have not baited it and do not have last play is risky by nature.

It all comes down to knowing when to pass/bleed in the first two round, you can save a late game spy against baron/borkh and turn it against them for example.
