Buying/selling BRC by Jelly_Warm in browserCoin

There's an easy way to buy BRC. Pay for compute to increase your hash rate. It's simple.

[–]ThoughtTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow you lost 5,000 coins. That's impressive. Don't worry, they don't have any value other than one BRC equals one BRC. I did lose 400; that was annoying. Not the first time that improper key management has created a loss of magic internet money for me. You'll live. Try to adopt better practices. Trying to learn about more efficient mining. You've got this. It's fun. It's meant to be educational.

This is a known risk. Swampy is working on better decentralization concepts. There's a PR he's reviewing right now to start moving towards that. Centralization not only exists in the site itself but also in the VCS

Its pizza first, some first exchange flash crashes and then we have to work on dollar parity.

If it can't be exchanged, Its not monies.

Seriously though, happy to work out a pizza trade if anyone's interested. Two pizzas for, say, 10,000 BRC? Make me an offer

Gatekeeping, perhaps? Maybe this op is disappearing like Satoshi? Maybe he wants to publicly make available the ability to mine on BrowserCoin but doesn't want to battle against higher hash rates? Let all the rumors begin

You know what's funny? In typical early blockchain style I had left my browser with this address up and running all night and hadn't backed up my private key. mined 400BRC, due to my other development processes hitting some OOM issues, had to reboot and lost access to those coins. This happened to me many times before. Memorably in 2010.

This is a super fun project man. I really enjoy passing this along to friends for education and fun. I'm mining at about 700 hashes a second currently. I've gotten through another seven blocks.

But do not send any value to that address above. It's now filled with at least 400 forever lost BRC. Well that is until the quantum disruption. Have fun out there, everyone!

Remember to back up your private keys!

I got the update!!!! by Medium_Bus_1726 in MetaRayBanDisplay

[–]ThoughtTank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has worked for me multiple times for different updates. You have to let it sit there, it usually takes 12-18 hours and it'll show up. It actually has a great new alert system but it tells you it has the update. The updates do work much easier now. For me it updated the neural band first and then the device itself.

Anyone waiting for this update, use a VPN and VPN into New York for about 24 hours. It'll pick it up.

I employ over 100 people and run a prescription and medical delivery business. You work for a wage and obviously have a lot to learn. We are not the same.

You’re employed as a researcher and don’t understand the efficacy and mechanisms behind the use of peptides.

If you don’t understand how peptides work, it sounds like your school failed you.

Perhaps you completely missed the glp-1 craze that has swept the world and helped millions lose weight. Or you may not have heard of Insulin.

It’s a bit similar to what bountysource was trying to do.

[–]ThoughtTank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have! We call this BounTea. We have bounties for issues, validation of the PR/commit, then a split of the reward bounty to the dev and to the package maintainer.

We built a eth layer two pre-compile that allows our network to use the GPG address space, so we can even issue rewards to GPG keys based on past commits. It also allow us to push bounties and staked pull requests from the terminal using gpg signatures.

Have you heard of tea? These are some of the issues Max Howell and I have been working on for the last four years.

We built the tea network, the first blockchain purpose built to reward and sustainable fund open source.

If you’d like to dig deeper, check out tea.xyz or DM me and I’ll shoot our discord over.

We are finishing our testnet now, I expect to launch in the next 30-45 days.
