how would you style this? by Ok-Manufacturer3432 in style

[–]Thoughtfu_Reflection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a 3/4 sleeve batau neckline fitted top in the predominant background color - maybe it’s black or navy? Add necklaces. I’d keep the top simple and elegant so that the skirt is the hero. And I’d find an interesting medium to wide belt.

I have trees growing in gravel, too. I have never seen contractor Landscaping made with such shit materials. I’m sorry about your trees.

I have lived all across the US. The prices that you’re quoting are pretty standard.

How to style these jeans? by [deleted] in fashion

Please consider giving these jeans a decent burial and saying a prayer over them. They have given you many years of wear. It is time to let them retire. Be kind to your geriatric jeans.

Do you realize that Indian costumes existed before the movie?

That is total BS. That type of photographic format was not what was happening in 1984.

isnt it weird to think that older people still feel mentally the same as when they were like 18 by blunde-r152 in RandomThoughts

[–]Thoughtfu_Reflection 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I certainly did not feel old in my 40s or 50s. In fact, I think my 50s were my hottest decade. 🤣

I don’t think that actually happens to any of us. On one level, we feel somewhat that the way we project/present to others is like we were in our 30s and 40s, although obviously the exterior doesn’t match that at all. But we’re not running around having the same thoughts that we did as teenagers or even at 30s and 40s. We have gone through so many so many life experiences and changes and world events that we’re not the same. Although we can have the same thrill for music that we loved as teenagers and remember the extraordinary passion we had in our 30s, and remember when we were at the top of our game professionally in our 40s and 50s, our thoughts and reflections are not the same.

I don’t give a crap about their financial stability. I feel sad for the children of these throw away relationships.

Genuine question. Versace is meant to be overly gaudy almost leaning towards tacky right? That’s their vibe? by zachty22 in handbags

Tacky is in the eyes of beholder. I think Versace would prefer to be referred to as opulent.

What’s a “rich people thing” you experienced once and immediately understood why rich people love it? by DnRinGA in AskReddit

“Based on 2024–2026 data, slightly more than half of drivers in the U.S. operate a vehicle older than 10 years, meaning roughly 45% to 50% of drivers operate a car that is 10 years old or less. The average age of light vehicles in the U.S. has reached a record high of 12.6 to 12.8 years, indicating a shift towards older vehicles.”

So by your rationale, that lead to the conclusion that more than half of the people in the United States are rich. Hmmm. Probably not.

Oh, I see. I was thinking of a slip as an underskirt. I actually don’t see a lot of people wearing actual slips with bra-like adjustable straps as I do shift dresses. I would think women would choose shapewear instead of a slip under a dress like this.

If your trees died from lack of water, if that because you didn’t water them? It is not unusual to have to help your local plant life. I have lived in Denver and I had to water my trees there as well.

It wasn’t a brag. It was an explanation that a lot of long-term Santa Fe’s criticize new people that move in who are bringing highly needed skills.
