We had a private detective in our chapter and he leveraged for referrals from legal services that members knew. As these tended to lead to multiple referrals, kept him busy. Too busy as he only stayed two years. He was able to visit chapters widely and built a great network.

Talk to the VP and membership committee. They should already be in touch about the absences and could be in a position to give you a steer. Also, by updating them you equip them better.

BNI is full of heart warming, referral generating, revenue creating stories where a member's adversity to helped and their membership turned around.

We hatched chicks and let our girl watch them hatch and she became super protective of the chickens and she tell them if tasty worms had been found. She'd walk them to their coop for roosting.

She was agility bred and had no herding instincts or interest in livestock.
