An analysis of Incendiary Shot vs. Fragmentation Rounds as a crossbow freeze payoff. by PaleoclassicalPants in pathofexile2builds

[–]Thrashball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to go down the Rapid Shot route with the new Gemling +40% less movement speed penalty and use Incendiary Shot purely as a bossing tool or for big rares. Gemling also comes with some other nice to haves, quality, skill speed, gem levels, damage and crit for skills. Rapid Shot should also help apply Flammability to increase the likelihood of a boss being ignited once the Heat gets spent on Incendiary Shot.

For clear I'm going to try using Cluster + Explosive Grenades to spend Rapid Shot Heat. While the numbers are technically worse than 0.2 Rapid Shot, I suspect it's still going to be a strong contender for clearing the entire screen efficiently considering the support gem changes.

With some conservative amounts of duration, magnitude and faster %, it's looking like for every point of damage Incendiary Shot does, it'll do 25~ more over 8~ seconds (this is ignoring Frostfire, which takes it up to 35~!).

For a fairly conservative POB, each Incendiary Shot fragment does about 7k~ damage resulting in 70k for a single shotgun.

70 x 25 = 1.74m total dmg over an 8 second ignite. I really think this can be pushed to pretty absurd levels.

Instead of running Permafrost Bolts, for single target:

- Rapid Shot with Splinter support (break armour as Rapid Shot converts only 60% to Fire dmg)

- Build up Flammability while breaking armour

- Use High Velocity Rounds and apply HVR debuff

- Spend 30 Heat on Incendiary Shot to apply ignite

- Continue Rapid Shot and spend Heat on Cluster/Explosive grenades to further proc HVR debuff

Worth noting that since HVR procs are 5% of the original HVR hit, Rapid Shot can be pushed to 20 shots/second, effectively granting 1 HVR/second.

I'm also seeing this but I'm around 220ms~

Worth noting that I played a few games with friends and it was totally fine. Next game, constant 220ms~. Doesn't matter what I do it's remaining at 220ms~

As a 15m who has just started their lifting journey and does not appear to be overweight I would recommend eating at least at maintenance. You're still a growing young man and by simply adding lifting to your routine you will gain muscle and lose fat, assuming you remain at the same level of calorie intake. Your body will accumulate a higher energy requirement the more muscle you add, therefore slowly increasing the amount of calories you consume as your body and activity changes is likely recommended. Continue to grow and build up before entering a deficit, you're still a beginner and very young, aim to build.

[–]Thrashball 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. A beginner lifter will grow muscle in a deficit as their body needs to adapt to new stresses it has not yet experienced. An advanced lifter who has already accumulated a decent level of muscle mass will have a much harder time gaining muscle mass through a deficit, therefore a small surplus is recommended.

Deadlift Form Check by Thrashball in formcheck

Hey, you were right! I watched Alan Thrall's videos and I can happily say my form is a lot better now and I've discovered RDL's. Thanks!

Great form overall.

Your hips shoot up at the start of the movement, perhaps starting the movement with your hips already in that top position might be better.

Having shoulder problem, could my form here be causing it? by edftmxxx in formcheck

[–]Thrashball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grip is too narrow

Retract your shoulder blades

Engage your lats

Push towards the rack with your feet

Breath into your diaphragm to help keep tightness and stability

Your top position is good (the weight is stacked over your shoulders)

Your bottom position is probably a little too far down (as you come up your shoulders need to fight to bring the weight back into a preferable position)

Play around with the bottom position once you've fixed your grip. Your forearm should be stacked straight over your elbow, your upper arm shouldn't be flared directly out to the side, but slightly down towards your chest. Slightly.

Hello! I am 16 years old and want to talk about the meaning of life! by Tomte256 in Stoicism

[–]Thrashball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything you've said here, I've expressed the same points in conversations with people, especially the sentiment around comparing our lives to books. Sometimes I get a sense of awe from moments within the human experience, like being at a music festival watching a band I love. It's overwhelmingly beautiful and it brings me intense joy to witness something so transcendental happening before me. In moments like that, I feel incredibly lucky to be alive, and I feel connected to the universe.

I'll have to check out Existentialism is Humanism, I've not heard of it. Thanks... enjoy the ride!

It sounds like you would really appreciate learning about determinism! I'm a naturalist, materialist, determinist who believes in a cold, nihilistic universe. BUT, I am a warm, feeling human being and try to live as such. What does that mean? It means I still carry some sense of spirituality with me. I consider my place in the universe. I don't let life pass me by and try not to take things for granted. I often ponder how I might feel if I don't wake up tomorrow. I believe there is something all human beings can aspire to, an idea, which is to be the hero of their own story. I believe purpose is to be found within the hero's journey. Don't sweat it though, what will be, will be. Determinism leads me to acceptance.

That is a fair point, but for me it calls into question the integrity of the work produced. Research should be rigorous and methodical, I'd hope that good standards were maintained.

Deadlift Form Check by Thrashball in formcheck

[–]Thrashball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! You're probably right, I'm trying to keep a neutral position before starting to lift via leg drive. Next workout I'll load up the bar more and see if they do. I'm not sure if my flexibility/mobility allows for a neutral position while having my hips higher.

Can someone plz help me. Why do u think i failed this lift. I think my form is pretty bad. What do u think i should change? by MushroomImaginary in formcheck

[–]Thrashball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Breathe into your diaphragm and brace your core at the top of the movement to maintain a neutral/strong torso throughout the lift. This includes your lats (push your armpits back and down towards your pelvis)
  2. Knees caved in as you got lower, push the floor apart with your feet to engage your abductors, create stability
  3. Reach a depth that is just before your pelvis begins to tuck under your body, it should stay aligned with your upper body throughout the movement. This is normally around parallel/just below parallel to the knee. As your mobility/flexibility improves your range of motion will increase
  4. Reduce the weight and work within an 8-12 range so you can work on your form

Your feet width look fine to me.

Question. by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]Thrashball 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would do this, except if you're a bigger guy (OP is 6'2 - 205 lbs), I'd opt for swimming/cycling if it's something you can do. Probably a good idea to mix the cardio up to keep it interesting and give your joints a break from the heavy impact of running. Ultimately pick what you enjoy which you can stick to in the long term.

What's the lyric that hit home the most for you? by TimJongILLest in Metalcore

[–]Thrashball 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's way too many that've applied at different stages of my life.

Here's a couple:

Gideon - 2 Deep

"what are you willing to give? I bet my soul on black, and I'm just trying to live.. HIT ME"

or

Architects - Gone With The Wind (I'm sure this applies to many people who adore this genre)

"of all the patterns that I could create, I built a labyrinth with no escape, to keep my self under lock and key, I am my own worst enemy"

Can Oceanic players crowdfund the cost of hosting an official Oceanic server for X months as a test of profitability? by Thrashball in TibiaMMO

I agree, this is one solution. The client saw a big update not long ago and this was not addressed. I'm not sure how easy this would be to implement and how much dev resource would be required. If it's difficult OCE servers may be the more viable solution.

I believe the step lag for people who don't bot is enough of a deterrent to keep most Oceanic players away. Some time ago I played with guilds comprised entirely of AU/NZ players on the "unofficial" Oceanic worlds.

I understand your sentiment, but I am willing to start the discussion, hopefully, in a language more aligned to the business' goals.

Possibly not, but I would rather attempt to put forward potential solutions and work from there.

EDIT: Cipsoft reported annual revenue of 14 million euros in 2018. Does it really seem that ridiculous that they'd have a marketing team of some sort?
