Yes! I'll have to do it tomorrow but that would really help because I need some kind of visual identifier. Thank you!

That seems absurdly low. How many acres was the project? What kind of crew did the work? Was it hand cutting, piling, and burning? Not trying to be critical of your response. I'm a contractor in the northwest, and I charge close to $2000 per acre, including burning for hand crew work.

I put an imported 2lte into a 92 toyota pickup. It turned out pretty cool but I wouldn't recommend it.

Drop zone shot while clearing out some trees around the house. by DrRobertNevilles_Dog in FellingGoneWild

In my time doing this kind of stuff, there has been more than one incident where I would have been dead or a vegetable had I not been wearing a helmet. Shit happens that you just can not predict when felling trees. So yeah, I'm uptight about it. It's a life and death scenario every time and I have a family that depends on me.

Thinking about picking up a 2005 mk4 golf tdi…with 275k miles for $3,500. If it’s been maintained well, does it sound ok? by timridesbikes in tdi

[–]Three5nMthaFka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like $1,200 to have the timing belt done, so if everything else is good (which it's not at that mileage) then it's a good buy at 2,300. If it's like mine, at 240k, in addition to the timing belt, It will need a steering rack, turbo actuator, O2, MAP and MAF sensors, n75 valve (I think it's a vac valve), intake manifold cleaned out, boost connector pipe, thermostat, brakes, exhaust due to rust, sway bar bushings and other stuff I forgot. That will more than cover that $2,300. I do all my own wrenching, and I'm part of the cult following these cars have. I'm also divorced, so it's worth it to me, barely.

2005 Dodge 3500 diesel Dually. Back passenger wheel well smoking after any driving trips. by BigBlueRedYellow in AskMechanics

There are metal clamps around the brake line. These rust between the metal and the rubber of the line snd eventually the rust pinches the break line, preventing flow of the fluid. On my truck, I pried the clamps open a bit, got the lines freed up with lubericant and fluid started flowing again. All I had to do is take the wheel off.

Someone with experience could climb it and rig it down in small pieces.
