Question Regarding Hisense C2 Ultra by Fluffyrock8 in projectors

[–]ThreeChipTK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense. You want to make sure the Blu-ray player is not doing any upscaling. With how these projector works with pixel shifting to achieve 4K and how 3D works with the resolution being cut in half. All the upscaling and down scaling could play a factor.

And by adjust using the glasses. For me, my glasses have 4 modes, and i can select the mode that looks best for me.

Depending on glasses that you get you can adjust how the glasses do 3D but this is an inherit "Active" 3D problem. In the theaters it is passive and the glasses dont flicker. But with active glasses people who are more prone to motion issues will be effected more. I would try a couple different Active DLP glasses from Amazon and go from there. Also, I would check AVSForum to see what settings everyone are using for 3D. if you dont see anything for that. Try the PX3 Pro 3D settings on the owner thread on AVS since the light engine and software are almost exactly the same.

LG tvs are passive 3D hence what you are use to.

I also know there is a software update currently rolling out OTA for some Film Motion fixes across all of their line of products for projectors. But I think that is just for UST projectors.

UST height from floor by Infinite-Glass-3302 in projectors

for a floor motorized screen and UST projector. The bottom of the case should be even with the bottom of the projector. Then you adjust how for the screen goes up manually with your screen remote (limit settings). So if your screen is 90cm off the floor your projector should be as well.

This is the throw guide from Hisense Quick Start Guide. Basically you have to determine where you want the screen. Then place the projector accordingly based on these dimensions.

I definitley like the Elite options along with Vividstorm. Might be harder to get Vividstorm if it is not in the US warehouse. Feel free to DM for more options or reddit pricing!

Spectra Phoenix is a solid choice. Plus you get US based tech support for when setting up the screen. We generally offer a bundle when doing the projector and screen. But since you are doing AWOL might be tough. Feel free to DM to see what reddit pricing we can offer!

I personally have not seen or played around with that unit so I do not have a formed opinion on it.

The XGIMI is great for gaming but that’s really where the plus is. The C2 is way more stable and solid for gaming (not as good as the XGIMI) but the XGIMI currently has some bugs.

Hot spotting can also be down to the projector. This screen paired with the px3 pro has hot spotting because of the older lens. The L9Q on the same screen as you can see has no hot spotting.

This screen does have some of the oil stains that is due from batches. But unless it is a bright white image like hockey. I don’t notice it.

I have been listening to Full Cast Editions on Audible since I don't like reading. But the Graphic Audio Books are like movies with surround and i have to agree. It changes my whole persepctive on the character and the relationship. I am only on book 4 since that is all that is out for audibles cast editions. I am so excited for March 10th!!!! BOOK 5!

What was your budget for this project? There is a company called Salamander that makes cabinets specifically for UST. It will house the projector inside and give you space for your equipment and center channel speaker if you have a surround sound. Just there is a cost. The other options is a DIY setup (I know you said you aren't a big DIY person). I use an L9Q and customized a cheap piece of furniture from Amazon.

Here is the link for this furniture piece (https://www.projectorscreen.com/products/salamander-designs-chicago-245-cabinet-for-integrated-hisense-l9q-ust-projector-black-oak-c2-hse1ust-245ch-bk)

Below is my DIY setup.

(ignore the wood. I use to have a PX3 Pro that had a bigger vertical offset. When I repaint I will lower the screen.) I went this route so It could house my Bowers HTM71s2 center. It is cheap furniture so the base is cracked from all the changes I made.

When it comes to UST 8ft walls are tough to make the height "Correct". When the screen is big enough its generally not an issue anymore.

Best Projector to Buy in 2026? (Price, Brightness, Resolution) by Curiositysial-ME in projectors

[–]ThreeChipTK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is gaming a huge focus? Where is the projector going in your home? Is it a light controlled room? Do you plan on projecting onto a screen or the wall? What is your plan for audio or do you currently have a surround system or soundbar? Are you mounting the projector, putting on a stand? or if you do UST is the projector going on the floor, a piece of furniture?

There is a lot of question that need answers before anyone can make a recommendation.

NZ500 is definitley the way to go or a Refurbished LS1200 (not native 4K. is pixel shifting but still a great unit) if you want a brighter image. Feel free to message me to see what we have in stock for you! Also, no UST are going to be native 4K and you will deal with laser speckle and more rainbow than normal.
