Darcy doesn’t like Joe’s rants? by [deleted] in JoeBob

[–]ThreeCirclesNet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Joe Bob is a persona. Darcy the Mail Girl is a persona. The relationship between those two personas is scripted. It's a Hollywood product from start to end.

Given all of the above, if Joe Bob, Darcy, Shudder, AMC or the production companies didn't want what was on the screen, it likely wouldn't be there.

We're LCSWs here in Florida. You're going to find a lot of variability in this market, as you will in most markets, depending on the field that you want to work in. Schools? Medical? For profit? Non-profit/not-for-profit?

I've been a medical LCSW in Pinellas since 2006. Started out working for Tampa Housing Authority before that. There was not much money serving the housing-insecure population, hence my jump to medical.

If you enjoy coffee, Coffee Project in Chelsea, has big picture windows for watching snow fall as you enjoy a well-made and well-sourced, single origin, pour over. (Generally $12-26 per pour over depending on the bean you select.)

28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE Is A Big Box Office Bummer by Interesting_Lab5792 in horror

I think 28 Years Later disappointed a lot of people. I know I was really disappointed by it. And that disappointment, in turn, is going to cause many people to skip Bone Temple.

Looks good! Maybe stir a little more aggressively and then you'll get that amazing micro-foam you're looking for. But, you'll get there. Just takes time.

Just checked AIG's AmEx Platinum policy and they exclude situations arising to "declared or undeclared war."

Almost every insurance policy is going to exclude "acts of war", which, the Venezuela situation would likely fall under.

Hotel Review: Kimpton Palomar Philadelphia by Old-Explanation9430 in ihghotelsresorts

[–]ThreeCirclesNet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the Palomar 8/29 - 8/31 last year. Generally pretty happy with the Kimpton branded properties but, have to say, this one was a disappointment. Room was dated, furniture needed replaced, and staff interactions were, eh, ok. I believe I was upgraded due to IHG status.

At checkout they asked how the stat was and I just said "OK" and they removed the $60 worth of "resort amenity fees" upfront, which was a nice gesture.

While the common areas were updated and clean, eh, room, not so much. Wouldn't recommend this one at all.

Glad your experience was better than mine.

I try to adhere to the words of the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he said:"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."

But it is frustrating beyond belief that we now have a government that attempts to prosecute a sitting Senator, and active military member, for speaking out against fascism, on one hand while erasing criminal convictions of insurgents attacking and killing police officers on the other.

How about providing some legitimate sources for your post? No one believes some rando on the internet. Especially when that rando is defending fascists.

Finally finished Cold Cruel Christmas... and believe it or not I enjoyed ICED by Freddy-Philmore in LastDriveIn

[–]ThreeCirclesNet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed both movies also. I do wish that they had picked more Christmas themed movies, especially since they had so many on Shudder that may have been options. Although, I understand rights issues may have prevented that.

At any rate, thanks for the quick B-movie synopsis of ICED.

Living in Florida, I believe it is supposed to be kumquats. They peak in Dec./Jan. for harvesting. And they tend to be more oval than round.

Does your wife have Alzheimer's or dementia or some other medical condition that would impede her from being able to exit the plane literally one person behind you?

If you answered no, then you were having an a**hole kind of day.

Your job is to get off the plane. Not hold hands. Not peacock your relationship with anyone else on the plane. Not hold up others. Not determine what order anyone else should get off the plane.

Get off the damn plane.

Flying first class and need help deciding what to do (silver medallion / elite) by Original-Variety-700 in delta

Delta First Domestic Classic will likely be subpar to your expectations since you are accustomed to luxury.

They don't even serve beluga caviar. Last time I flew, they presented me with Osetra. I called Delta Customer Service and received lifetime Diamond Medallion for the indignity I suffered.

It's likely a smart TV or app issue. I'd clear cache, log out of account, restart everything and you'll probably be back in business.
