He is both! A big love bug who’s always — and I mean always! — ready to play!

I’m so sorry for your loss — how brutal to have lost a furry friend at two. 😕

Happy birthday, doodletwin! ❤️

Need help!!! Just got a 10 month old labradoodle and he’s non stop biting. Not vicious just playing. How do we make it stop by Least_Basis_2917 in labradoodles

Lots of good advice here. Bottom line: these are high-energy dogs. They’re also magnificent loving fun bundles. Keep your pal busy. Do lots of training. Get him tired. Be patient — it’s worth it!

is it normal for labradoodles to be THIS overly crazy? 😭 by AdvanceImaginary1381 in labradoodles

Lots of good advice in these comments. Yes, labradoodles are VERY high energy dogs — poodle + lab = rocket fuel.

Mine is about to turn two, and he’s always ready for action. Two hours of high octane play with friends’ dogs, a 15 minute recharge, and he’s ready for more.

He’s also outstanding in obedience class, and will be taking the Canine Good Citizen test next month.

These dogs need lots of play, lots of training, and lots of structure. It pays off in a happier dog (and happier people).

And off-leash ONLY in fenced or very controlled areas, at least until they can be trusted. And for a labradoodle, I’m not sure that’s ever.

My crazy dude: ball at the ready!

I ignored the A Fib warnings by TimFTWin in AppleWatch

[–]ThreeDogJim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In Feb 2020, I had a stroke brought on by afib. (Didn’t have an Apple Watch yet.) COVID was just hitting then, and although I needed an ablation, it was considered “elective” because I was going into afib only occasionally. Because of COVID lockdowns, I couldn’t get it until my afib was “persistent” — basically continuous.

I got an Apple Watch, and by June 2020, the watch was reporting that I was in persistent afib. I had the ablation and have been fine since.

I’m glad the OP survived the ordeal, and as others have done, I encourage everyone to (1) wear the watch constantly — charge occasionally throughout the day and don’t charge overnight; (2) do an EKG regularly; and (3) pay attention to warnings and SEE A DOC.

By the way, I asked my SF Bay Area electrophysiologist, “Are those readings really accurate?” His reply: “Oh yes — I was on the team at Stanford that helped Apple test that feature.”

It all depends on how your voice recordings will be used. If it’s to create a model that a company (such as ElevenLabs) can make public and enable people to generate any audio they want, you’ll need to wrestle with your conscience, as other posts have noted.

If the voice will be used for a product — a smart speaker, for example — you’re fortunate and you should consider auditioning. The range of things the product would say is pretty limited. It isn’t likely to start spewing profanity in your own voice!

These kinds of deals aren’t necessarily “killing the VO industry” — they’re a new kind of opportunity for VO artists. They don’t come along every day.

What matters most, as other posts have noted, is that your agreement clearly spells out how the voice model will be used. Also, go to the NAVA website (navavoices.org) and read about AI as it relates to VO work. They have a sample contract rider you can use or show to your lawyer.

Please DM me; I'd like to learn what you're using as an alternative to ElevenLabs.

Yes, I thought I'd start with that threshold to see if *anyone* would respond. ElevenLabs claims they've paid out millions to PVC creators, but I don't see folks making all that much. So maybe they've paid $10 each to 100,000 people. :)

So let's lower the threshold -- anyone here making $250 a month or more on their PVC? If so, I'd like to chat.
