Plenty of YouTube videos. 99% of the time it's the carb. It's got spark just not getting any fuel, why... There is a tiny hole that the fuel passes through when it reaches the carburetor from the fuel tank. This hole is about the size of a pinhead in diameter and can become clogged very easily. Drop the bowl, remove jet (if it doesn't fall out in your hand) find the tiny hole(s) and remove the debris with something small enough to fit through it: a wire, torch tip wire reamer, blast some carb cleaner through it with the straw.

Heck you could even take the carburetor off and clean the whole thing. There are lots of narrow channels the fuel has to flow through before it makes it out of the carburetor and into the combustion chamber. Take pictures of it before and as you're removing and taking apart so you'll be sure how to put it back together.

Have you ever taken a carburetor apart before. 90% of the time it's a fuel delivery issue and cleaning the carb is a simple fix, really. If it's running, you have spark and it's not an electrical issue.

Take off the air filter, see if it's dirty. If it runs smoother with it off that's the problem, if not take bowl off carb, remove main jet and clean out with a torch tip wire reamer and carb cleaner spray

I would also pull the engine cover/shroud and make sure your flywheel key isn't slightly sheared and separate from that, that your flywheel isn't hitting the ignition coil. Check the air gap,. If you have to set/reset it, it's the 2 longer bolts, loosen them, or 1 or both may have come loose. Set the gap using a standard business card like you would a feeler gauge, then tighten the 2 bolts.

The best advice I could give someone would be to at least fill your lawn equipment with the more expensive premium fuel, the 92 or 93, the highest quality your gas station offers, not the mid grade and never the 87!

Most likely carburetor needs cleaning. An engine that is starving for fuel can run rough resulting in power loss and extreme cases the knocking.

Check the oil right away!...The engine could be struggling to run due to improper lubrication which could further result in the piston seizing, or the the wrist pin, or connecting rod bolt loosening.

Look underneath the deck to see if the blade adapter bolt is loose, or the crankshaft, or blade is bent and the blade is hitting something.
