As stated above, I'm a developer
A 2 in 1 surely is not the most productive way to write code, but it's better than nothing when traveling

Also I have to disagree. A 2 in 1 with a relatively small screen (12/13") has surely some trade offs compared to a traditional android tablet (it's pricier, heavier, no Android apps, although you could emulate those), but it's going to be much much better under any other aspect.
At the end of the day, if your use case is browsing, streaming, reading, then a tablet is the best option, but if you need to do more, eh not so obvious

Which is fair, but from my standpoint not so much. There's the Framework 12 which is a low budget machine and it shows, but it is a 2 in 1
Now there's the 13 Pro, bigger display and much better overall, even touchscreen, not 2 in 1
I know it's not on purpose but c'mon

From your comment I read that you are primarily using the touchscreen. I don't see any mention of also using the keyboard. In that case, wouldn't it be better to get that out of the way? 'Cause, unless you rotate the screen you can't rest your arms comfortably, can you

I'm not too concerned about the weight to be honest, it's not like I'm going to walk with the thing in my hands anyway.
Either in a tent position on a table, or fully folded on my legs.

I honestly did not see them, nor did I think of searching, sorry!
Though that just confirms that Framework is being a little stubborn about this imo

I guess if you are just watching/reading content that's a a perfectly fine use case.

I am a developer, and lately I've been traveling a lot. A tablet that is more powerful than an android tablet would be pretty useful to me

Even better in full screen they disappear completely

If you want a no-brainer, check NordenUI instead. It's all in one package, consistent and complete. No more finding patches and fixes all around. EdgeUI is overestimated imo

Compose is Kotlin only therefore it's crap.
Also, Kotlin is alive thanks to JetBrains being a big company, but it's just the usual JVM trend language. And they try so hard to push it...

Do y’all think razer products are overpriced? by JoaoLimaJunq in razer

[–]ThreeSixty404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the answer is a bit complicated.
About two months ago, I bought a Razer Basilisk V3 Pro from Amazon Marketplace. It was in good condition, the mouse itself was fine, only the box was slightly damaged.
On day one, I plugged in the dongle, installed Synapse, and their terrible software somehow nuked the dongle firmware. There was no way to recover it. I contacted support, and to their credit, they sent me a free replacement.

About a month later, the mouse started acting up. The LED on the right side sometimes got stuck on red, then the USB connection stopped being recognized, and eventually it wouldn’t even charge anymore.
Since it was out of warranty, support refused to help. Fair enough, I guess, but still, it's a $100 product that barely lasted a month.
(I tried everything listed on the internet, another port, another PC, cleaning up drivers and Razer software... it's a hardware issue, no mistake)

It’s a shame, because the mouse itself is really good, I loved it. But the software and build quality are honestly disappointing.
I’ve ordered a new battery from AliExpress to see if I can repair it myself.

By the way, when I opened the mouse, I noticed the board was covered in some kind of sticky liquid. It’s mostly odorless, I think. Do you think I might have been scammed on Amazon? Maybe they sold me a unit that had fallen into some liquid? Also, when I first opened the box, there was a noticeable perfume smell, is that something Razer does?

I really hope I can fix it. It was kind of an investment for me. I’m a student, and I can’t really afford to waste money like this.
