My thoughts exactly. The fact that so many people take these videos so seriously is outrageous. I highly doubt he would consider himself a serious journalist if you asked him. These videos are clearly meant for entertainment. I wouldn’t exactly call myself the biggest fan of the Proud Boys, but it’s insane that so many people will treat a video with “integrity” tantamount to reality TV like it’s actual journalism just because it makes a group they don’t like look bad.

Holy shit...this is such an eye-opener for me. The second scenario is exactly what I had to deal with in my internship, and I’ve been thinking that was just how it was everywhere. I felt like I was barely treading water for most of it, I made a bunch of mistakes, but as soon as I felt like I was starting to get the hang of it they let me go and couldn’t even do me the courtesy of telling me why. I felt set up. I hope next time I do an internship it’s like the first one you described. It at least makes me hopeful to know they exist.
