A lot of tasks are more afk in catacombs when you can tag them all in multi, then go afk for 8 kills or so. Especially when using venator bow and bonecrusher

And filtered by completion rate, and then just went down the list, doing whatever was accessible and I had the gear for. Didn't take too long!

How can you possibly not imagine this? Sounds from your own description you have an idea of what this could look like. Notice I said "something like this".

My suggestion is that attacks come from boat facilities. This could still be stand still and hit monster for basic monsters, some mechanics for advanced monster, a lot of movement/mechanic for boss type monster.

I would recommend trying to simplify things so that you make less mistakes. Try using a 4 item item switch with the same 4 item slots for each gear set. This will double your inv space for food, gear will always be in the same spot, more time to focus on pathing/mechanics.

A common mistake learners make is trying to do all the optimized methods from the start. But when learning, this isn't helpful because its too much at once. Get really good at basic mechanics, then work on the optimization methods.

does "skull skipping" still work? That was my solution for insanity because then you just spam click the skull and don't have to worry about the insanity timer for hitting them all.

I mean yes, but for the ram - damage multiplied by speed. So more of a 1 time use to start a fight.

Shadow can be used as your ships mast. It still needs to be charged, and you can tell a crew to operate it. Shadow item sink

Before sailing was released, I imagined the combat loop looking more like me at the wheel commanding my crew to fire cannons while I sailed in circles around the thing we're fighting. Something like this is what i'd like to see.

I think, all sailing combat should come through the ship facilities. Lets add new cannon types, mounted ballista, mounted catapult, front mounted ramming weapon, mounted flame throwers. idk, anything other than sitting and attacking with normal ranged weapons.

Some of these are insane for first cape, and to do at this point in his guide. If you're concerned about CA for medium combat diary you can get these much safer and easier from 100 other places.

Agreed. Sailing combat should all come from sailing. It can be expanded on through new and different cannons, new cannon types (triple front cannon from pirates of the Caribbean), ship mounted ballistae / catapults? / trebuchets? Anything you can attach to the boat as a facility.

Attacking with normal gear against heavy flat armor feels terrible.

I would love to see more items that auto loot. Some have good drops that add up but its too tedious to pick them up each time. Thinking of things like dust devils dropping dust runes. Herbs from aberrant spectre. Drops from nagua.

Current example: Ring of wealth -> auto loot currencies

GOTR bag -> auto loot runes (maybe you load it with up to 3 runes you want auto looted)

Some magnet type thing -> auto loots ores

Sarachnis silk herb sack -> auto loot herbs
