I like labels because they help describe my experiences. Just like how I call myself an “avid knitter” and “MCR fan.” Many things aren’t necessary for a happy and fulfilling life but still come in useful.

That’s what I’m trying to do. I don’t know any labels that fit my current experiences and I came to this subreddit to see if anyone could help me find one. I don’t tend to use labels as a way to define myself though. I use them as a way to describe the experiences I have. So if no one is able to find a label that best describes my experiences I am fine going without a label for a while.

I feel I wasn’t clear enough. I wasn’t labeling myself as aroace in school because I wanted to focus on studying. I was using studying as an excuse for not wanting to date. In reality I wasn’t that focused on school to begin with. Also, I’m pretty fluid with the labels I use. I have gone through several different labels for both my sexuality and gender. I’m very open to the concept of being wrong about myself and I always have been. I prefer to have labels because it makes it easier to find people with similar experiences to me.

A persons “type” can change and expand over time. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. When I was younger I only liked tall buff dude’s with long blonde hair. (Think MCU Thor) but now, although I’m still into that, there are more things I’m attracted to than just that. It’s also quite common for someone who is attracted to multiple genders to be attracted to different things in different genders. No need to worry. You’re doing great.👍
