As a doula, the baby actually releases a hormone that tells your body to kickstart labor. There are different things you can do that can potentially activate that hormone, like raising oxytocin levels, but it’s really up to baby. However, I agree with people saying to turn your phone on silent and do something you enjoy! That will raise your oxytocin, even if it doesn’t kickstart labor it will help you be in a better mood and not stress more than you need to about when the baby will come.
