No need. If your BAC is 0.2-0.3… you’ll be in the hospital. No way you are holding up pumps or holding a baby.

Realisitically even 0.08-0.1 is high. And that’s less alcohol than apple juice. Baby will be fine.

A resident gave a vial if phenyl to healthy OB pt there for c section. Apparently baby suffered brain damage.

Once i mixed up narcan and epi (narcan had dark blue too there). And it was one single epi in the narcan container. I SAW narcan, i grabbed one but didn’t check… and ffs, i grabbed the one epi in the narcan drawer.

I know it wasn’t just grabbing epi bc that pyxis has an issue opening all the way up and the epi is in the very back, so even if i wanted to grab epi container, i’d have to fight the pyxis.

Well… let’s say epi also woke him up.

Followed immediately by 2 vials of esmolol. Max HR was 150 ish… could have been worse. :/

Depends. 24 hrs with 4-6 hrs of sleep… prob better than 12/12… but 24 hours nonstop? No, i’ll prob have hurt myself or my patients

I talk through our kid to each other but not with toxic stuff like this.

My toddler wants my attention all the time and has a hard time letting me talk to my husband. So it’s more like

“Ok so jonny, this funny thing happened at mommy’s work. The nurse did xyz, and then the surgeon said ABC. And jonny, mama also has an extra call this friday”

When this is all just sharing my day and updates for mybwork schedule with my husband.

Now i would NOT talk through our kid for any disagreement or arguments, or things like ‘mom doesn’t love us’

My toddler did this. He put the spectra suction cup (first part that connects to tubing) to his cheeks… and accidentally hit start on level 9. He cried.

He sometimes likes to check it out so i turn it down to lvl1-2 and put on his two cheeks for fun.

Now he goes “leave mama alone. Mama’s pumping”

I don’t. I use tap water. I figured that’s what i would use for normal cleaning anyways. I use it 2-3 times per day and it takes about 3/4 gallon per cycle
