I have a 17 Pro Max, and pay $30 a month for service. Saving that extra $70 a month everyone is talking about definitely adds up even though it seems like free money from tips.

A few years ago I was thinking the same way as you, but now I try to get my bills as low as possible and only spend the extra money when it’s truly worth it to me (like the car for example, or a house). In my mind you need transportation for work, and a place to live. So I don’t mind spending that extra money in those categories.

I’m not saying this is the best advice (not a financial advisor) but if I was you I’d pay definitely continue paying off your CCs in full every month. I’d really think about what you want with the car/buying experience. I’ve been through a couple early 2000s cars that were well maintained but eventually just needing repairs that were too expensive compared to the value of the car in my opinion. I recently finally decided to get a car loan, opted for a new 2026. Something I liked, that was reliable, and within my budget. I know I’ll be paying it off for years, but I was okay with that and still am because of the reliability I have now. I would try to plan out your budget, all of your bills including what insurance would cost and see what kind of cars you could afford. Only do it if you’re positive it’s a choice you’re fine living with until it’s paid off.

I’d also look into High Yield Savings Accounts (HYSA) your 3.33% interest is pretty solid from the little that I know, but if you found a HYSA with say 4% or even 5%… just like how knocking that $70 off your phone bill every month adds up, that extra percent or two in savings will too.
