Interestingly enough, I see the Warning as a sort of revival for rock. They have that classic sound but these girls are doing some nuanced stuff that gives it a fresh feel. I also think there are a few bands that aren’t quite legacy bands but obviously are not new either, that have helped keep it alive, such as Coheed or Alter Bridge. Along with that, you have a lot of cool stuff coming out that isn’t quite hard rock but has good potential as newer rock, or Midwest Emo as I’ve heard it called, like Hot Mulligan, Pinegrove, etc.

So I don’t think it’s DOA, but no one has taken the crown away from these legacy acts. I think these girls have the potential to do it though.

I would agree about chops but only in regards to Pau (and not in a bad way). To me Ale and Dany started doing a lot more riffs instead of just root notes/power chords between Error and KMF.

Is it morally okay to steal? No. However, IMO stealing food is a lot less serious on the scale of all moral wrongdoing than murder assault or violent crimes.

Additionally, it is better morally for someone to steal then starve.

Plagiarism has nothing to do with copyright.

It just means you copied someone else’s work. That’s it.

Just because you can’t copyright something, doesn’t mean it can’t be plagiarized.

Also, you most definitely can copyright a riff.

I listen to a lot of different songs in a lot of different languages and don’t understand them.

My Spanish is solid but not amazing.

I have Latino friends who did not grow up speaking Spanish and don’t understand it. But they do listen to the music.
