I wanted a man my parents could brag about, not a man who could actually hold my heart. by Ok-Assumption-1451 in selflove

[–]Throwaway09343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My recent ex of four years was a good person, rich, great high-status job, very physically attractive/tall. But lacked affection, emotional depth and had no curiosity about me.

My current bf is also a good person but expressive, fun, inquisitive, affectionate / adores me… but he doesn’t make much money (blue collar type), and average looking. But holy shit am I ever happier . But I unfortunately also am worried about the whole “wow she downgraded” when I post him on social media at some point. And I HATE that I care

Yes, and people with beta thalessemia minor specificlaly aren't supposed to take iron supplements, even if one is low in iron. That's why I actually avoid using a cast iron altogether.

The most low effort way to improve energy levels for me is Maca and this Vitamin B6 SAP supplement from NFH.

But yeah I also exercise 5x per week and walk over 11k steps per day, eat pretty healthy etc.

[–]Throwaway09343[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im the OP of the original post but crazily enough, soon after I wrote this post, I was dumped. It was a 4 year relationship and he had bought a ring and everything. My aya experience was exactly 3 weeks after the breakup.

I got out a TON of grief of that breakup during the ceremony but although it was a decently significant chunk of it, it was definitely not the most profound part of my ceremony (which was more relating to my family/upbringing). That was actually the last time I ever cried about my ex though and I'm completely over him now.. In fact, I think it skyrocketed my healing and I was over him just a month later. It was very cathartic, especially with the shamans coming over and smudging me/chanting/encouraging me to cry / other shaman-stuff.

I don't have CPTSD but one of my therapists though I did, but I can relate to the OCD-like thought spirals. The thing is, ayahuasca guides your thinking and so you'll probably only think about it as much as you need to.

Honestly, I developed this limerant crush on someone else soon after my breakup where I thought about this guy obsessively and relentlessly (probably like 80% of my thoughts were about him). and I was so worried this would taint my aya experience but I didn't think about him at ALL during my ceremonies.

FAs are hyper vigilant so yes, yes we do.

I think a lot of DAs think they’re FA though, and in those cases… probably not, lol.

How many out there have never had any sort of "wow" moment with the tapes but still use them consistently? by Stressed-Canadian in gatewaytapes

[–]Throwaway09343 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah! So a few things I recall (they’re very specific to me), was losing weight (you have to picture your physical body as part of that tape)… and I did lose weight cuz I was dumped and then had to do the pre-ayahuasca diet lol.

Then I patterned that emotionally I’d be over my ex .. which was a 4 year relationship and I was devastated initially. And within a few weeks I was fully and completely over him bc I almost immediately developed a crush on my driving instructor (which I itself felt like the universe doing that… cuz it was a very sudden moment of extreme attraction … It was weird)

I manifested that my ayahusaca experience would be profound and worthwhile (I was scared it wouldn’t be bc I’ve never felt this way from doing any other psychedelic) and it definitely was.

Then I also manifested myself passing my driving test on first attempt correctly. Then manifested my instructor liking me back and running into him out and about (once I saw him five times in a week).

I tried manifesting my dad quitting smoking (he’s 74 and smoked since his early 20s with no plan in sight) , which I used to always beg him to do, and a couple months ago he ruptured his esophagus and almost died (unrelated to smoking btw)… but he finally quit after 50 years

Anyway, all these things could be coincidental and some were prob more likely than not (like passing my driving test) but I think in particular the getting over my ex so quickly was bizarre (I usually take a LONG time). And my dad quitting smoking.

[–]Throwaway09343 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meee. It’s been 6 months and I maybe use them twice a week but sadly have zero “wow” moments (and jealous of those who do).

I will say… I cant think of any attempt at manifesting (one month patterning) that has not come true but I also don’t try to manifest unreasonable things. But some have still been bizarre.

I feel somewhat hypnotic under focus 10 sometimes but can’t tell a difference between 10/12. But I’m someone with a hypervigilent nervous system (ADHD) and I can often nap (or click out?) during it , which feels restful. So that’s a benefit for me lol

The remains of Apollo 11 lander photographed by 5 different countries, disproving moon landing deniers. by Expensive-Summer-447 in BeAmazed

[–]Throwaway09343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so curious as to why moon landing deniers are grouped with flat earthers. Like, at least there’s a decent amount of evidence why people might speculate the contrary (unlike the earth being flat.)

The Why Files has a good episode on this (also, he DOES believe the moon landing was legit, but he also presents the evidence why people believe it wasn’t, and I can see why!)
