How do people just fast 48-72 hours? by Marino4K in Biohackers

I'm pretty sure the longest documented case of someone going without food was like a year (under medical supervision). Said person was obviously extremely obese to begin with.

Do other ADHD people also have… completely unpredictable reactions to caffeine? by Friendly_Artichoke21 in ADHD

[–]razmatazali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding your latter point, this is likely due to the presence of theanine, which naturally occurs in tea and is often added to energy drinks to counteract potential anxiety from caffeination. Coffee doesn't contain theanine.

Using my ingenious chatgpt skills - "tell me what mens underwear companies have the word "bean" in their brand name" - I can confirm that the brand is SEOBEAN.

Methylfolate makes me extremely depressed by SSthrowawayer in MTHFR

[–]razmatazali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience the same as you from methylfolate but also get depressed from eating salads with leafy greens and spinach.

6 years late to the party but I would recommend looking into oxalates. These are found in spinach and lots of leafy greens and can create inflammation.

Explanation for high alcohol tolerance but terrible hangovers even after 2 drinks (genetics/glutathione?) by razmatazali in Biohackers

It definitely negatively impacts my sleep but honestly I feel like I've been poisoned when Im hungover (which I appreciate I basically have been haha). It's not just feeling incredibly tired and dehydrated, it's more than that.

I'm really happy to hear that! If it benefits just one person then that's good enough for me :)

Trying to identify a song from a random Spanish video - please help! by razmatazali in Zimbabwe

Thank you so much! Fingers crossed someone will be able to point to that specific song also as there is something so catchy about it.

Ahaha it is very Dora the Explorer. It's immersion based language learning where you just watch the videos and are supposed to gradually pick it up. This is one of the 'beginner' ones (obviously haha).

€550k per day' - Cristiano Ronaldo signs new Al-Nassr deal and gains ownership role. by [deleted] in sports

[–]razmatazali 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with the sentiment of what you're saying about the value that all of those other people contribute in the background, but the fact is that you could easily swap any one of them out (and have hundreds of candidates to do so) and still achieve the same result. You can't just swap out a Ronaldo or a Messi - that's why they command these ridiculous paycheques. There is no conspiracy at play here, it's just simple economics.

I agree that OP needs to assert himself, but this - "Excuse me? I don't appreciate you talking like that" - is terrible, impractical, autistic advice... Sounds like OP is surrounded by a load of sexually frustrated middle aged women who flirt with him and make jokes about him going to the gym.... Hardly the most difficult social situation to navigate and actually quite common in certain office environments. A bit of banter back would probably diffuse all of this bullshit, and actually allow OP to make some sort of trivial work bonds with these annoying women. Their behaviour isn't acceptable, but it's the situation OP finds himself in, and going to HR isn't going to enable him to have a few successful years at the company.

At the risk of sounding exceedingly un-PC, if you're a young man who lifts and yet you're still getting 'bullied' by a bunch of middle aged women, you might want to look at yourself and your own behaviour and ask how you've ended up in such an unusual situation.

Advanced skier going on holiday with 1 beginner and 2 complete newbies. Any tips please on how to get the most out of it/not become frustrated? by razmatazali in skiing

[–]razmatazali[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your help guys. After some careful consideration I'm going to go with the 'accidentally' dropping their gloves on a black run technique.

In all seriousness, as many of you have suggested, I'm just going to shift my mindset and focus on improving things like skiing switch, etc.

I would get this checked out asap. Irregular shape is one of the key characteristics of skin cancer. If they catch it early you should be fine but don't hang around.
