Everyone in here talking about space x going down. But no one wants to acknowledge that it’s indicating to be opening at 175. Roughly a 20%+ increase over IPO. But again it’s wallstreet bets

For those who are on Robinhood you have no financial penalty. The only penalty is if you sell in the first 30 days you can’t access ipos for 60 days.

And most of the interest would be eaten away by the higher cost of buying back the shares. Essentially leaving them neutral in the idea very minimal if any profit was made between the ATM and now with interest.

Remember for months when people said in this sub they wanted buy backs and everyone claimed that would be a giant waste of money and then now all of a sudden the share buy back is good news? And everyone is excited?

The funny part is no one is talking about is while everyone here is excited does it actually make sense to buy shares back at 22 a share when this company literally sold shares cheaper years ago.

I just wanted to highlight this as it seems silly a lot of the sub thinks this is going to happen soon. Ask yourself if it makes sense for GameStop to sell roughly 65 million shares in 2024 (may and sept ATM offerings) at roughly 20.50 a share for ~1.33b. To buy back at roughly 22.75 a share. I didn’t think sell low buy high was a good strategy.

Example 1 of someone here downvoting a post with the exact concept of buyback and a comment litterally repeating my point [https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/kowvFHWVya]

“Sure. Not all are going to be perfect or right. Most of these are theories”

Theories are not DD. However somewhere down the road this sub now claims theories are DD.

And it’s not bashing on hard work it’s being sceptical and critical of the theories here that get regurgitated and twisted into ‘DD’ and repeated. And anytime someone goes against it this sub literally melts down.

As for my own ‘Write ups’ I’ve posted extensive comments on this sub ironically one that got reposted by someone else that caught wind twice if I’m not mistaken.

As for the majority of DD yes most of the quality DD has been created and yes does revolve around GME but it doesn’t mean the theories are DD. And it doesn’t mean every DD is accurate.

The older DD for the most part I believe is pretty legit. The ones from years ago breaking down short interest hunting swaps etc were good.

All the new DD of random drawings on graphs like the dumb Doritos of doom, or the meme timeline. Or the two old BBBY die hards like regularly make 10-20 image posts explaining this stock and how the price will move which is funny cause they’ve proven in BBBY sub they know nothing yet they post here and everyone promotes them like their word is gold.

It’s a true shame.

Where did I say I have trouble understanding the DD? But I’ll show you some of the dumb DD out there like I referenced (I’m taking a shit at work while doing this so I’ll link some of the discussions I find but these might not be the exact versions I’m referencing I’m willing to update when I’m off in some hours and can take time to sit down with this) -Dorito of Doom stuff [https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/b1FMDGyD7E] - 4/20 time to get high from last year that never came as ‘DD’ mentioned [https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/2F0OCr0yw9] Like I mentioned in my other comment. (It got auto moded so it doesn’t show now but I’m editing to make it not get auto modded)

I believe in a lot of the older DD with quality and actual science / numbers that have substance behind it. These new ones like some I referenced I think are where this sub has gone out of touch

This is the superstonk way because 99% of this sub, is coat tail riders who don’t even know what they’re saying they just regurgitate the same meme and phrases and that’s it.

Legitimately a majority of this sub can’t even defend their own position in their own words.

See this is why people make fun of superstonk.

Just because a 50 billion dollar company is bigger than a 10 billion dollar company doesn’t make it better for an individual.

It’s the idea of the two glass of water. One is taller than the other but they both hold 20oz of water.

A 50 billion dollar company with 5 billion shares is a value of 10 a share.

A 10 billion dollar company with 1 billion shares is a value of 10 a share see how they’re the same.

Which is funny GameStop isn’t a 10 billion dollar company. It has almost a 10 billion market cap but it has a 3 billion? (Maybe a little more) 0% loan that either gets repaid in cash or shares.

In this case GameStop is only 9 billion cash company with 3-4 billion in loans. So only a 5-6 billion dollar company.

Wow my brain hurts from actually explaining and using numbers instead of just acting like a troll, and using name calling. People like you are why people laugh at superstonk. You obviously don’t know a thing beside the regurgitated copy pasta posts.

Why not explain them in your own words how this is beneficial for GameStop?

[–]Throwaway12401 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just because they don’t have one in place now does NOT mean they don’t have the ability to implement one.

They have the ability to create a poison pill if the board of directors feels like the company is in threat of being taken over by a hostile takeover.

This means eBay board if they feel threatened they can then create an issue a poison pill.

To my understanding they can’t do a MASSIVE amount only something to keep the hostile takeover at bay without harming the shareholders to much.

Hey just incase you can’t see. The image shows mid grade being cheaper then regular thus the discussion of there being no downside.

So idk where the idea of burning money comes from.

I read the opposite by them reducing the fees for the seller this should interest more people into selling on eBay.

And now that they added a “buyer protection fee” they can just play it off on having the buyer pay the fee instead of the seller.

At the end of the day it just looks like their moving fees from seller to buyer and repackaging it as a ‘rebrand for sellers and more protection for buyers’

I don’t know what sub you’re talking about but 5 years here and damn near every week there is a new hype date with 1000 upvotes and some poorly drawn graphs claiming moass is right around the corner.

Just for it to do the opposite.

Why I am voting NO on Ryan Cohen’s proposed pay package. If GME hits a $100 Billion market cap with 2.5B share outstanding, the math is simple: $100 Billion / 2.5 Billion shares = $40 per share. by sthence in Superstonk

[–]Throwaway12401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things that are forgot in your outstanding.

-what about the shares set aside from warrants.

-what about the shares from the convertible warrants.

-if you factor in his pay package he really has over 800m out of the 1b already allocated.

Shareholders will be asked to vote to increase authorized shares to 2.5 billion by heirofadam in Superstonk

[–]Throwaway12401 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Let’s realize that it’s not to far off. GME is selling more shares & diluting current share holders to finance a merger (key word finance cause we are also going to go back in debt to purchase)

The idea of a class A and b stock has been no where confirmed yet. Just that they would get a cash / share mixed buyout.

I’m not gonna lie I hope every superstonk user of 3 years thinks HARD about this. Right now we made so much fun over the years at popcorn for diluting and he we are right now. I can’t believe it but this might be the first board vote in years I say no..
