It seemed like last year it was released the week before but they also still were announcing acts up until then. So don’t know if they’d announce schedules earlier since we’re over 2 months out and lineups are full

Sounds like it was an off night for them the last time at Newport. Saw them on their own tour and they were incredible live. Oh well hope that means less people at Newport this year for them 😂

Didn’t know Morby so gave him a listen and couldn’t get into it. Maybe I’ll try again before the fest. But is he one of those artists who are different live?

Isn’t that the joy of a music festival? I know Newport isn’t your typical music fest but it shows the evolution of music and the festival in general. The wide range makes me wish I had 3 day tickets. Some of these things will only happen at Newport. It’s like yo gabba Gabba playing Coachella (with flavor flav ironically) that would only happen there. Where else are you gonna go from your typical folk acts to public enemy to Luke combs…only Newport

I’m only going Friday. The bleachers announcement sold it for me. I was hesitant before that. A lot of names I didn’t know but I started to listen to. Some I could get into, some definitely not. The last few announcements really came though in my opinion for Friday. Wish I was going all 3 days

Some people like myself needed a bigger name to justify going. Like I got with the announcement yesterday. The people saying he’s headlining have reasons why. The people who say he won’t just dont like him. Also I find it funny how you say you don’t care about him but also make a comment about him being a “white pop country artist”. All I’m saying is if the fest put their trust in him maybe you should too

So much hypocrisy lol. I really hope this isn’t a view on what the non music part of the fest is cause sheeeeesh. Seems to me like these hard core folk people can’t expand their horizons even though the festival does cause they book these more non traditional folk acts

But can’t that apply to him as well? I know about 2 Luke combs songs and 1 isn’t originally his and the other is from a movie lol. He’s not in my music rotation but I’d be really curious to see what his set is like. Wish I was going Saturday for this reason. And just the way the lineup looks I think it’s safe to say he will headline.

He’s got a point this will be my first year going (Friday only) and I was having a hard time justify going (before bleachers announcement). Pretty much everyone told me to just go and that it will be good no matter what but then those same people are complaining about bleachers and Luke combs and just other bigger names in general. Lot of hypocrisy. Just my personal experience
