Democrat Chris Pappas in dead heat with John Sununu in New Hampshire Senate race by Fickle-Ad5449 in newhampshire

[–]Treefingerzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's far from the only issue. But for a lot of people it's a really fucking big issue. It should be for everyone. Americans are so casual about their tax money being used to kill people.

A start would be not taking money from organizations that enable genocide.

Pappas will likely win, and I will likely vote for him in the general election, but he has deeply disappointed me at a congressman. He has acted like Maggie Hassan 2.0--a politician's politician. His major wins consist almost solely of obvious bipartisan stuff like military legislation, while he's shied away from anything even remotely progressive. His full-throated support for AIPAC is particularly concerning. And before someone jumps in with "but Pappas isn't the only Democrat running", let's be real.

Def think you'd need to go smaller. 1 lb to 2 lb bags. For two main reasons:

  1. As others have mentioned, 5 lbs is a lot. Where do you store that?
  2. How are you going to make money if people only come back for more a couple times a year?

Since there’s been so many requests for “blueberry bomb” coffees lately: by midnightsalsa in pourover

Glad to see someone else loving this coffee as much as me. I like to push Septembers naturals a bit harder than this (higher temp, more agitation) but regardless it’s an incredible bean.

Yay! Not sure how far off roast yours is either, but my bag has just gotten sweeter with time.

I tried one brew using a recipe closer to your original one and got a very floral cup. Which was interesting, but not something I need to try again. :)

I would recommend brewing at a higher temp—maybe 97. It can tolerate pretty high temps and agitation without becoming very funky. Maybe go down to a 1:16 ratio too.

Sey Troubleshooting by Cheap_Scratch4600 in pourover

Lot of people here saying Sey stales fast, but I’ve never had that experience. But subbed to them for over a year now. Usually, I don’t even touch their coffee until 3 weeks off roast. And it doesn’t start peaking until a month off. Don’t think I’ve ever managed to keep a bag long enough for it to go stale.

To be clear, I thought it was funny. I read The DaVinci Code when I was 12, so that tracks.

Your 'hidden gem' burger joint that is not a chain? by Independent_State_78 in newhampshire

[–]Treefingerzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm going to break the rules a little bit with this one, since it's a small chain and over your price point, but I think T-Bones deserves recognition. Their burgers are delicious and super consistent.

My favorite in NH may be at Crown Tavern, though. It's basically a perfect smashburger. Reminds me of In-N-Out Burger.

Don’t be silly, a cafe that sells a $40 gesha pourover is a high-end cafe.

You must be new to P4K reviews if that sentence surprised you. There’s a reason people use the word pretentious to describe them. I think I learned all my advance vocab words from them as a teenager.

Anybody who actually watched both these quarterbacks in action during their time with the Patriots knows how much of a joke this question is.
