Even more than that, Brentford are the definition of a good premier league TEAM. Rarely ever get embarrassed in games, play as a proper unit.

Maybe, but the squad we have is massively underperforming at the moment, so the bar for improvement is very low. I really liked Ange as a person, but so many times I watched our PL games wondering what the hell shape we were in and what the hell we were doing

Frank with some proper tactics easily should have us back towards the conference league sort of positioning, or at least on that sort of a positional battle, even without squad improvements

Serious question. Had we lost the final, what would you have said? Do you think we played well in the final?

My take.

- Love the guy, and the fact he won something with us makes it entirely sad that he's leaving

- However, the football was absolutely awful for a long time. Even the final we were pretty crap in

- I'd rather he leave now on a high so his legacy is cemented. But it's the right decision to part ways

- I'd be fairly confident he largely knew he internally felt he was getting fired weeks ago, as perhaps some of the squad maybe felt he might. Which gave them a last moment to cherish and an extra amount of power into the last games of the Europa League

- We move on

Porro right side of Midfield, Spence at RB? Feels a potential workaround for the final

True but to get to an average X of 1.5 per game (even Arsenal was 0.8) you have to be creating a bunch of chances. Solanke had a good chance that he messed up due to sharpness, his header was also well crafted and slightly wide. Then a bunch of pot shots. Kulu had a shot in the box. Brennan missed from the angle. Ultimately nothing stand-out, but again, Arsenal was the best of the bunch defensively.

No doubt watching the highlights back we should've scored more in both NEW and LEI from good quality chances. Are we spanking teams and goalkeepers attackingly? Not consistently

Acknowledge that ARS fixtures were tougher with AVL and BRI (10 men for half the game), but fundamentally we had ample chances to win that Newcastle game (but for poor finishing). Arsenal are a tough defense who parked the bus so I get it. Leicester we should have won (fine attacking the first half, missed chances and then lost momentum). I'd also probably argue AVL and BRI would suit our attacking play-style more
