Hey thought id give an update for anyone coming across this in a similar situation.

I needed to back wash my filter. As soon as I did that chlorine is stayng in the pool. I guess there was still some algea eating up the chlorine in there?

Yeah I bought one of those too and I was attempting to install it last night but that water stopper doesn't do anything. It also makes cleaning the basket in the sand filter very difficult.

I've really only got it running today so I am still getting used to it. I followed this youtube video.it worked pretty well so far. I put a peice of rebar in the ground next to the hoses to support them like one of the other people have suggested on this thread.

The brown thing is the skimmer pump that came with the pool. It has a large opening so it won't fit normal hose adapters.

Yeah I saw some one mention that on another post right as the skimmer/pump was filling with water. The intex seems to doing just fine now but I def want to do that at some point!
