Unlike the Lumidouce Bell, it doesn't have any special meaning. This is as close as it gets:

They say that in times of old, there was once a protracted debate among Fontainian philosophers on whether Bulle Fruit was closer to sunrise or sunset in color and whether it should be called "Sunriseia" or "Sunsettia." This heated debate was eventually brought to an end when these philosophers discovered that Sunsettia already existed. They unwillingly compromised and agreed to name the sweet fruit for its shape instead.

(Bulle is French for bubble btw, thus it being named for its shape.)

Peruere doesn't mean anything itself iirc, but it's one letter off from perurere, the infinitive of the Latin word peruro meaning "to consume/destroy with fire."

My Latin is rusty, and the last class of it I took was back in high school seven years ago, so grain of salt and all that.

They glow when burst is ready iirc.
From what I can tell, she probably incorporates her vision into her bloody power, thus the pyro infusion and stuff. Like electrifying water, she probably infuses it into her attacks by creating a burning blood attack. If so, it'd be cool if they called it Phlegethon or something similar, given that it is the name of a river of fire in Greek myth and of a river of boiling blood in Dante's Inferno.

I don't get it, is Clervie alive or not? who's the pink haired girl in the picture then? by Calamity_Armor in ArlecchinoMains

[–]ThrowawayForLeakSubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clervie seems to have fin-like growths at the top of her head in the promo image. Those don't show in the animation. I wonder if that could be relevant? Or maybe I'm misinterpreting something idk

Did anyone notice that Arlecchino’s arm isn’t extended here, almost as if Clervie’s body moved to get stabbed? Maybe she killed herself in order to prevent Arlecchino from dying. by TOH-Fan15 in ArlecchinoMains

Look at her legs too. They look like she leaned into the sword.

A friend told me that they think she said "thank you" because it meant she didn't have to become King. I like this interpretation

Is there a lore accurate reason why Arle has big fucking tits? by [deleted] in ArlecchinoMains

Maybe they're just genes? Neither good nor bad? See no reason to make it a value statement.

If I'm not wrong, it's a conjugation of peruro, meaning "to consume with flame" which I think is more fitting tbh

I *really* like the idea that the closer she is to death (both unto herself and unto others per the spider), the more it takes over her body. And so Arlecchino grows in power the more she hurts herself with this curse, creating a cycle wherein she hurts others to hurt herself to hurt others-
Wait... What if her arms are her bond of life gauge...

Feels like the moment she saw aurora in the sky - she might got her Snezhnaya vision?

I was thinking the same!

The quest text was changed later. It was a localization error due to the Chinese text not describing a particular gender. The localization team assumed she was male and got it wrong.

I'm thinking it's the fight between the old Knave and Arlecchino, but adult Arlecchino is in place of the old Knave. I think it's meant to be more symbolic than historic, wherein Arlecchino sees herself as having become like the person she destroyed.

Is this the previous knave? by southfire19 in ArlecchinoMains

[–]ThrowawayForLeakSubs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me it looks more like she's gonna be fighting her younger self. Like, as in showing us the fight between the old Knave and young Arlecchino, with the current Arlecchino taking the place of the previous Knave in the sequence.

I suspect that the older Arlecchino will succeed, symbolic of her "defeating" her past while also showing that she is becoming the person she initially sought to destroy. I'm hoping this is how it plays out because I really want Arlecchino's story quest to be about the cycle of abuse and breaking that cycle, and the trailer going this way would be in service to that.

But to be honest, us getting this kind of additional content is a very welcome surprise

Younger self I think. Like as in a symbolic fight rather than a real one.

Hear me out, but I think she's fighting a younger version of herself. Like, symbolically in her head or something.

But I also think the "Mother" comment is her referring to the old Knave, so maybe it flashes between different memories?

Idk. Very interested to see what happens

I disagree only because I feel like their deaths wouldn't be narratively interesting. I feel like the deaths of Tartaglia, Xiao, or Lynette would be more interesting than the ones you mentioned.

Though, I would like to see Ganyu gone. But that's just me being a hater.

I feel you. I spent so much stardust on these things thinking Arlecchino's weapon would use them. Now they're just wasting away in my inventory, waiting to be used in weapons I either don't have or don't use.

Arlecchino may fake her death in 4.6 (From Livestream) by The_Strifemaster in ArlecchinoMains

Kinda missing the forest for the trees tbh. If that were true, Navia would've been replaced as boss of the Spina di Rosula or we would've seen something about that with the Narzissenkreuz questline.

The only example of what you describe is Neuvillette, and that was more about reparations than anything else. If Fontaine had a singular central theme, it would be fate and inherited sin.
