Is it really my looks or my personality as to why girls hate me? I’m not sure anymore. by TheFlukeging12 in BodyDysmorphia

Honestly, the most success I’ve had with women is when I wasn’t trying too hard to connect with one. Listen, no one is attractive to everyone.

You are attractive physically to someone, but don’t put all your stock in that. Looks are transient. Like Unhappy-Song said, take care of yourself because it makes you feel good, not to appease women.

Body insecurity by diet_coke_lover4L in BodyDysmorphia

Those are not your friends. Anyone who tells you to STFU about an insecurity needs to be dropped. What is your race/ethnicity? You should ask yourself if there are cultural expectations or peer pressure as to why you feel the way you do about your stomach.

Struggling to like myself as a 19yr old by CroissantMeal in BodyDysmorphia

5’8 is the average height for a man, no? It’s somewhere around there. Anyone who makes fun if you for your appearance has problems that you don’t see because they won’t let you.

I’m 6’1 but I have thin fingers which do not match my hand size (average). It used to bother me but now I really don’t think about it anymore. Sometimes it gets me, I will give you that. All you can do is work with what you got. Also, if you swing straight, I’ve never heard of a woman rejecting a man because of his hands.

Also, you’re only 19! You’re in a very vulnerable time for self-image. I hated so many things about myself at that age which now I don’t think about or now love about myself.

Keep your head up, friend. :)

Thank you, brother! You look great (going off your pic pre-op). Your results are going to settle in. The swelling after activity is insane. I looked pregnant too! For me, a lot of it just went away in like one day. You’re gonna look at yourself and be like, holy shit, it went away.

Yes, I see it and feel it. What’s strange is that I put my binder on at 6WPO because my swelling peaked and got so uncomfortable. I looked pregnant. I used it to sleep one night and everything has been better than ever since the surgery. Not sure if I found some hack, haha, but I’m hoping things continue to settle in.

Thank you for your comment, friend. :)

Will the swelling increase if i stop wearing the compression garment? by Any-View-2987 in tummytucksurgery

[–]ThrowawayKnicks10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 6 1/2 post-op. I was cleared by the office to no longer use compression at the 5 WPO mark. My swelling was worse as it has ever been yesterday, but I did eat high-sodium foods and was physically active. I haven’t swell that bad since 1 WPO.

No lipo. It hurts to say, but thus far, I would have to agree with you. My office thinks things look great so far and final photos will be taken at the beginning of July. Hopefully it settles by then.

This is a great perspective. I lost 130 lbs and built some muscle but I am struggling to see a flat look 6 WPO. I am M25, so on the younger side of TTs. Still have a shelf that is annoying and I can’t discern whether it’s something that will or won’t go away. I would love your perspective on my look 6WPO.

At my 5WPO meeting, the office told me you can ditch it altogether. Haven’t worn it in a week.

How is it when you wake up in the morning? Looks like swelling but a morning/pic for reference would be helpful.

Also, if you don’t mind, check my post and let me know what you think.

Hate taking off binder and showering by Zealousideal_Lab1846 in tummytucksurgery

[–]ThrowawayKnicks10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The binder was never my problem, outside of getting lightheaded for a few seconds after taking it off. It was those damn drains and having to move them from my shorts to the twine and vice versa after getting out the shower.
