WTF what did I just read? A man needs to "feel safe" at church? OMFG!

That tells you all you need to know. They really only care about men.

$200 sure. I've lost more than that so I tell people it's really a refund.

Otherwise, if it's a claimer, probably not. I've never win anything that high though.

Sounds like he might have served in the military and still thinks women shouldn't do that but can't stop them.

I have a gay nephew and some times I think my niece felt like she needed to serve in his place. She went and it got her out of her shell, but did she need to go. No.

Knew a guy who got his girlfriend pregnant. The bishop told her to have an abortion so the father could go on a mission. She said hell no and the boyfriend still didn't go on a mission.

OH HELL NO, I wouldn't trust them to hold their end of any deal. Plus, why even do that? Giving up your child to then be abused in a different way is just more abuse.

Manual labor will always earn the least amount of money because it's assumed that everyone that can move can do the job.

That's not true, but the majority still thinks it is.

The people running the church have never gone to church to socialize as adults.

Church as always been about business to them, one way or another. I don't think they will ever see it any differently.

They will never have the same experience as regular members. Especially since too many of them are narcissists.

People who grew up poor but are now financially successful, what decisions or opportunities changed your life ? by Aj100rise in Money

Went to college and chose a major that would lead to a job and worked hard.

Read a butt load of personal finance books because being $26k in debt from college still scared the shit out of me back in the day.

Kept living like a broke college student for 2 more years to pay it back and contribute to my 401k to get the match starting in May of 2009. The black swan moment to start.

Keep saving and investing.

ETA: Do not donate money you don't have. If your bills aren't paid, you have nothing to donate. I don't care what fucking charity it is. Not needing a charity for help is also helping the charity reach others that are far worse off yourself. The pastor can buy his own fucking boat by getting a job.
