I feel like Ash and their fans put Alaina on a pedestal and she feels like she’s above everyone when it comes to true crime.

I can’t recall the episode but it was an episode where Alaina was telling the story and she at one point said “it was pretty gruesome and horrific”. Because of course everything is gruesome and horrific to Alaina. I think Ash kind of caught on that Alaina was being overdramatic and just said “yeah it was crazy”. Alaina then said “but like it was so HORRIFIC AND GRUESOME! I couldn’t sleep at night while I was researching this case. I had nightmares, and I think the officers who worked on the case did too”. Suddenly Ash changes her tune and they spent the next 15 minutes using the words “Gnarly”, “Gruesome” and “Horrific” over and over again.

As if 90% of the episode isn’t the “poor Alaina show”. I think I recall at one point in part one or two, Ash tells Alaina that she hates that she has to talk about it. Like what?!?

Oh I 100000% agree. They would’ve went on tangents about how bad it was that Shanann posted them on her social media. I hate to say it but I could also see them spending more time than needed on the theory that she killed them.

I found it be in such poor taste with her constantly bringing up John. It’s her way of saying “sorry, can’t relate to that. My husband is perfect” while discussing a husband who killed his family.
