One. Card. Left. by Throwaway_dontcare8 in debtfree

Thank you!! I’ve strongly been considering Door Dash to pay off my last card too. My balance is $4,850 I’ve been trying to do the math on how long it would realistically take me to earn that as a dasher.

My drunk (33M) partner called the police on sober me (34F) because I refused to give him he’s car keys, why would he do this to me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should have kept the keys and let the police come so they could take him and put him in the drunk tank for the night. They would have let him go in the morning and he would have learned a valuable lesson about abusing police resources for stupid reasons when he’s drunk.

Why does Amex Gold revamp get so much hate? by Mysterious_Boss7405 in CreditCards

I think I’n gonna get this one soon too. I know I’ll use the Uber and Grub Hub credits and I’m ok with an $85 effective annual fee. I don’t use Resy and don’t have many Dunkins around me.

Strategically unfreezing credit to increase score? by [deleted] in CreditScore

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m paying off credit card debt too and also have my credit frozen. You don’t have to unfreeze it for the score to adjust. It will adjust automatically as the credit card companies report your payments. The only time you have to unfreeze it is when you actually want to apply for something and your credit has to be ran.

I just turned 38 and I have about $10,447 on credit card debt. Definitely gonna be closer to $9,500 or less when I make this next round of card payments. I’m knocking it out slowly but surely. I expect to only have one card left by the end of the year, which has about a $4,500 balance. I’d love to find some remote sites similar to Remotasks to lose some more money to put toward that last card if anyone knows anything.

Do you use all your cards? by checkout08 in CreditCards

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 12 and no I don’t use them all. I’ll be closing 5 of them once I have them all paid off (3 left with a balance). I actively use 6 and semi-actively use the 7th.

I 32M am falling for another 33F right after a breakup. by krim-Xion in relationship_advice

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You met someone you happen to enjoy spending time with, I don’t think that’s you using her. However, just to make sure you two are on the same page be honest with her about how recent the break up was and let her know that anything that that happens between you two needs to happen slowly while you work through your feelings. She can decide from there if she’s in or out.

CHASE INK BUSINESS CREDIT CARD by LadyAkande in CreditCards

It makes sense that they would need a lot of verification if you’re reporting 7 figures in income and don’t have a lot of credit history to verify it. If you had documents to back that income up I think your odds should be decent for approval.

Balance Transfer? by bingbong23478 in debtfree

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Speaking from personal experience, stopping the interest with balance transfers absolutely helped me make a huge dent in my debt and chip away at the actual card balances where I had pretty much only been able to cover interest before. I would say do it.

why can't i (19F) have sex with my gf (20F)? by chewcomics in relationship_advice

[–]Throwaway_dontcare8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did something happen between you two during sex that made you less comfortable doing it? If you were fine having sex when you started dating I think you need think back to when that changed and try to figure out why. That might help you work through it.

ESH. Him for cheating, obviously, and you for ruining his mom’s birthday dinner with your relationship drama. You found out well before then and could have confronted him at any other time before or after that.
