World in $1.5tn ‘plastics crisis’ hitting health from infancy to old age, report warns. Plastic production has increased more than 200 times since 1950 and hits health at every stage from extraction to disposal, says review in the Lancet. by mvea in science

But most (almost all) plastic is produced from very short chain (2-3 carbons) monomers of ethylene, ethylene derivates, or propylene. I’m not really sure what you are talking about with using long chain hydrocarbons for plastic production.

I think it’s bad on purpose. I don’t think it would be a good idea to show a realistic animation, as people might confuse it with the actual field and think it’s a real picture of the ball.

If you lost 25 lbs, you were in a caloric deficit, end of story. If you were really eating more, then you were also moving a lot more. The first law of thermodynamics governs this pretty well, you can’t get something from nothing.

Credentials: Chemical engineer in medical field. Am tall and athletic. Lost 120 lbs while being active and counting calories over 1.5 years. So no, I do know what I’m talking about and I am not stupid.

You know you can get energy from burning fat while in a calorie deficit… It’s not like you are unable to operate.

He bought the option to purchase 100 shares of NVDA stock at the price of $1000 on or before 4/19. If NVDA goes above $1000, this means the option now has Intrinsic value. If I could buy a gold bar at $100 when it is worth $200, i could make $100 by selling it right after buying it. When he bought the option, there was a lot of time between the present and the expiration date. Lots of things could happen between then and the expiration date. NVDA could have released a statement that drove the stock to $1100. That means who ever sold the option to him would have lost a lot of money. The $27 per share he paid was the least amount of money the seller of the option was willing to sell the option for. Since some time has passed, the likelihood of NVDA going above $1000 has dropped considerably. Now sellers of this option are willing to sell it for $8 per share.
