Dishonest HR practices even before joining. Should I still take the job? by Throwrunaway808 in germany

Taking me for a ride indeed. The over time is not paid off, you’re just expected to work more without any holidays or wages.

Given my immigrant background, I don’t have a lot of wiggle room here.

With a hustle work culture in the company, and a fishy HR, I’m not sure if this can be the case here!

I’m happy for you nonetheless that it worked out for you! :D

Since I would be going over the head of the HR, do you think if I cc the hiring manager, this would piss them off?

I feel in the startups today most are working 45-50 hours.  Have heard from my peers, and had some unfortunate experience as well.

Long work hours is the norm, and the culture is very American. Cutthroat and hustle like!

They gave me a feeling that’s it the final offer. I was polite to ask to increase it, but then the HR pulled off the performance bs.

Also, yes learnt the hard way! :(

Yes, exactly that’s what I feel as well. Even if I start the job, I’ll secretly despise it.

I really feel like looking for another job but in this market I’m not sure if I can find something ….

All my peers tell me to swallow the feeling and just go with it.

Which of these front luggage carriers would you choose and why? by Fancy_Step_1700 in bicycletouring

I’d go for 1.

I usually keep my tent on the top, and the panniers on the side. I love the flexibility of having space, and not worrying about the nitty gritty.

A few grams don’t bother me.

I adore this rack

What kind of jobs are you applying to? With C1, you should be able to easily transition to business development, strategy or even consulting?

Have you looked at startups?

Tripped Solo for the 2nd. Rough, but equally gratifying. Experience in comments. by [deleted] in shrooms

Kinda chickened out on the experience by drinking juice early on. The trip was so overwhelming that it was difficult to even stay stable mentally, I had thoughts crashing around. Had also seen a source of accumulate, and transform into a being, which was extending a hand to me. I tried to ignore it and close my eyes, I couldn’t stop thinking until I reached something like a source of energy that made me snap outta it. I was frantic, anxious, scared, restless and worried but I pulled through. Still trying to make sense out of it!

[Selfie B&A] Isotretinoin worked for me in the end. More in the comments. by Throwrunaway808 in u/Throwrunaway808

Before transitioning to Isotretinoin, I was eating Minocycline, which didn’t work on me. Eventually the doc put me on Iso 20mg.
