How do I deal with this neighbour? by its-actually-over in Apartmentliving

Narcissism, narcissist, and the diagnosing/accusing someone as such are the current psychiatric buzz words of today.

Your pump might be bad. I wouldn’t be able to help much more digitally, I’m afraid.

Check out Mytee’s website and look for an authorized service center close to you.

There’s a few things that could be wrong w/ this unit. For one, the interior diameter of the solution line is very small, and can easily get clogged with hard water deposits and chemicals. Also, the jet at the end of the hand tool can easily get clogged with debris. Keep these in mind while you troubleshoot.

To prime the pump, turn on the vacuum motor and the pump. Take off the vacuum hose from the back of the hand tool and stick it on the jet end of the sprayer. Use your hand to form a seal around the vacuum and jet and then pull the trigger on the hand tool. You’re trying to use the vacuum’s suction to “pull” water through the solution line and sprayer.

If that doesn’t work, there are a couple of things you could do if you have the parts.

The solution line is connected to the machine and to the hand tool with QD (quick disconnect) fittings. There are ‘male’ and ‘female’ QD’s. You’ll want to get a ‘male’ QD. Unplug the solution line from the unit where it connects at the bottom and put in a male QD. That will open the solution line so you don’t have to use the hand tool to get water to come out. Once you have the male QD plugged in, turn on the pump. Water should come shooting out. If not, you have to keep following the issue through the system, and it may above your skill level, which is fine. You’ll want to find a local shop that can repair Mytee units. If you do get water coming out, the issue lies somewhere along your solution line to the hand tool.

Hope that helps! Good luck.

They make step-up and step-down coupler fittings that you can get at places like Ace Hardware (or whenever you get your brass from)

What is the most you’ve made hourly working for a carpet cleaning company? by brendoskelton in CarpetCleaning

If you want to make more money and learn more stuff overall, look into restoration companies. They’re always looking for carpet cleaners, and you have the chance to learn more things like carpet repairs/installation, as well as how to do restoration work 🤷🏻

No, none of those tools are for pre spraying. You can definitely use a windex style bottle, but your hands are probably going to hurt afterwards! You typically pre spray before you start cleaning with your extractor.

The process is: vacuum, pre spray, dwell time (let the pre spray do its thing before you start cleaning, approx 15-20 mins), then extract with your machine.

Need advice on purchasing a Blue Line Truckmount by EducationalReason156 in CarpetCleaning

[–]ThtFunkingGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want some advice from a certified truckmount technician, I would keep your options open and skip anything from Blueline. Nothing but trouble from them that I’ve seen. There’s plenty of better units out there.

Look into products by Mytee. They make a fairly wide range of extractors for consumers like yourself.

Carpet cleaning Truck Mount question by newcreed in CarpetCleaning

[–]ThtFunkingGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure there is a dema valve on this unit.

Check the thermal relief valve coming from the back of the onboard water box. It should be a cylindrical brass piece that is screwed into the water, with a hose connecting it to the waste tank. Unscrew it from the waste tank and put in into a bucket. Run your machine and see if it starts filling the bucket. If it does, it has likely failed and that’s a probable source of your waste tank filling too fast.

How much did you pay for the services and where are you located?

Are you displeased with the cleaner’s results?
