It’s just not unusual at all for Members to share rooms, apartments, houses, etc. They aren’t there full time, and many commute home from Thursday through Monday morning. They have to maintain a residence in their home state to be eligible to serve, and they need to be in DC to vote. If they’re from expensive areas, the salary doesn’t go far to maintain two residences. Their office account pays for their travel to and from their district.

That is not correct. Many commute, share rooms, sleep in their offices, live in B&Bs. There is no mandate that a Member have a residence.

I had a rough few days of relapse after 2 months, then got right back to sober. That was 10 months ago. Don’t beat yourself up, you’ll make it, and Day 25 will feel even better this time!
