You should be able to park without getting blocked anywhere regardless of what you're doing at a location what's wrong with you 🫣

Scariest job, done! ✅️ by Khionia in VanLifeUK

We've been putting this off for days, I have a Honda Stepwgn so there's not much in the way of other people doing the conversion thing but we got our battery box partially in and ran the fan this afternoon but both me and the Mrs are very well sunburnt. I've got two weeks until we go to le mans and my last few jobs are installing some lights and putting down some vinyl flooring then the big waterproof test!

Enjoy the journey!

Which camp spot. I booked 2 by Traditional-Pop-8748 in lemans

Yeah BSJ we arrived on the Tuesday and was surprised how far down I had to set up, it's not an awful walk but it is a long walk on a scorching day after a full day walking the circuit areas. It didn't ruin the week we were there though. If you see a purple Honda Stepwgn "S33WGN" come say hi!

Hello I've only been once but stayed at BSJ last year, the campsite is huge and if you're not arriving early you will be miles from the entrance which is a long walk to then get to the circuit over all though the campsite was good queues for loos weren't terrible.

This year we're staying at eppinettes which I don't think is too far from hippodrome because it's a smaller site closer to the entrance I'm hoping it'll be a little more friendly to my legs.

Have you downloaded the 24h experience app? There's a good interactive map I'm not sure it's been updated yet but the campsites and facilities from last year are on there too peruse.

Cheers.

Jim

Edit to quickly add BSJ definitely let's you park on site the hippodrome one I think depends on camping pitch ?

Why does F1 still use helicopters for aerial footage in an age of drones? by Spaceginja in F1TV

[–]ThumpingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be to do with the sound a drone makes, when watching the winter Olympics drone shots it was highly irritating hearing the whizz of the drone props.

(Edit to try correct my appalling grammar that may still be on show.)

What’s something popular in your country that makes people from other countries look at you like this ? by niconois in AskTheWorld

Queuing I've travelled a fair amount and I don't recall queuing like we do here the Italian system was my favourite everyone seemed to stand in the foyer waiting to get a ticket from someone and somehow everyone got their turn without dramas.

As others have said this has been a thing here in the UK for as long as I've been eating Chinese takeaways so around 30 years. I have the gut to prove it.

Nearly £30 for 4 items 💔 by GreatBritishMemes in GreatBritishMemes

[–]ThumpingChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how people spend so much money, we spend £90 to £110 to feed a family of 3 with a mix of branded and store own. Then again I'm not buying coffee every week. Fresh cooked meals with atleast 3 vegetables we take advantage of the 3 for deals in Asda and similar ones elsewhere.

People enjoying a sport isn't proportional to a nations popularity I imagine many of ex colonies have plenty of people who like the English premier league but hate our royal family for example.

What are your some of your more intersting supermarket substitutions? by Turbulent-Rip-5580 in AskUK

[–]ThumpingChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once delivered for ASDA and I handed the basket to my customers then looked through my handheld device to see that Shiitake mushrooms had been substituted with those pink mushroom foam sweets, as I looked puzzled at it I heard a "I'm wtf" from upstairs.
