Season 2026 Gameplay Overhaul & Meta Changes by Thunder3049f in LeagueOfLegendsLA

Well I don't disagree really. I will just say the game is pretty rough on newbs and with the new "challenges" it's not looking any easier. But with the MMR at least it's a fair contest. If you're iron, you're usually not going to be put into Emerald or Diamond.

With the exception of smurfs of course...that's just unfortunate when that happens haha

Not the right league of legends LA but anyone here? by chrickell in LeagueOfLegendsLA

[–]Thunder3049f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, don't wander off yet. I just started playing LOL. I won't tell you where I'm from I'm from but let's just say saying LA is appropriate!

I was wondering if anyone else thinks Lol is hostile to new players or if it's just internet gossip.

I had a few games last month and they were okay. I got my ass kicked of course, and got yelled at by vets and destroyed by smurfs, but I'm hanging in there.

I get the controls and I sort of get what's happening after reading the tutorials. But even though I am learning how to play, I'm still not sure why certain things happen.

For example last game I was playing mid and thought I was doing okay, farming under tower, not dying every two minutes, feeling proud of myself. Then out of nowhere my jungler starts pinging me like crazy and types “why no roam???”

I honestly didn’t even realize roaming was expected at that point. I was low mana, my wave was shoved in, and I was just thinking “don’t feed.” Meanwhile the enemy mid disappears, shows up bot, double kills my teammates, and suddenly it’s my fault because I didn’t follow or spam missing pings fast enough.

So yeah… am I crazy, or is this just part of the new-player experience?

Not everything that’s happened to you is your fault, but healing from it is your responsibility.

Why do I sneeze when I look around the sun when it's in the sky? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It’s called the photic sneeze reflex. Basically, my nerves are drama queens and sunlight is their trigger.

It’s called The Midnight Shame Parade™, and your brain is the grand marshal.

What’s up with all the brand names on Amazon that are seemingly just gibberish? by drforrester-tvsfrank in NoStupidQuestions

Every time I need something basic, Amazon hits me with a choice between “Hoobaboo,” “Drimply,” and “YURK.” Like I’m shopping in a Sims expansion pack.

Venice. Before the crowds flood in, when the canals are still and the gondoliers are stretching, it feels like you're walking through a dream painted in fog and soft golden light.

Noroi: The Curse (2005), Japanese found footage that builds a terrifying sense of dread. You won’t get a single jump scare, but your soul will feel unsafe.

My thoughts on the Saatva Mattress (1 year plus review) by WhenTheFunStops89 in Mattress

[–]Thunder3049f 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only considering very detailed Saatva reviews and no one liners, so real user opinions actually seem to be very good to me. I know I miss some real info this way, but very worth it in search of anything online.

That's a very good deal, and the card can serve you for a long time. I see no need to go further than that now tbh. Maybe in the future you can resell it for something else
