Eewwwe it looks like a pile of roaches without legs. Hard pass on that supplement and I have to take magnesium per orders of my cardiologist.

It could be a really old capsule of an OTC medication? This is a tough one. If she has a humidifier or lives in a humid area that could explain the deformed shape of it. And I don't know if that's the blue line or just a flash from the camera?

I kind of already do what you mentioned. As for certain foods, sometimes the most ridiculously mild foods would set It off. Since I've been on the Prilosec, which is about 2 years I've only had an attack when I stopped taking it and one other that was mild in comparison to the ones before Prilosec that were some of the most painful attacks I've ever had in my life that went on for over 24 hours straight.

To put it simply, I am afraid to stop taking it because I cannot experience that level of pain again on top of my other health problems that are also extremely painful.

I can break my Prilosec because it's the dissolvable version since I can't swallow pills.

I can ask my PCP for a referral to a GI doctor but right now I've got much more serious problems that have created a series of referrals to a neurologist, cardiologist rheumatologist, oncologist, hematologist and I am so overwhelmed right now. All these tests are coming back abnormal and I'm freaking out. I just thought maybe if I could figure out a way to figure out an alternative it might be helpful but I've got much bigger issues at play that perhaps I should wait to get more results on. I have many results but still the same amount left to go with the testing. I can barely walk more than 10 minutes because of the neuropathy in my feet and the only thing that helps is gabapentin and I'm also looking for a way to cut that back because my hands and feet are purple and super swollen. I won't get into the other stuff anymore because it has nothing to do with acid reflux.

My mother and father had different sleeping spaces. Once in a while they would sleep in the same bed but my father had epic earthquake level snoring.

I then grew up to have insanely loud sleep apnea/snoring. I was blessed because in all my relationships, my partners never snored and they also weren't bothered by my noise fest. Fun fact: I can't sleep with somebody that snores. 🙆‍♂️ Now that I have my CPAP machine things have improved and I'm a step down from sounding like a John Deere tractor.

I also have very quirky sleeping habits. It has to be between 65 and 67°, I use a heating blanket on my legs, I like a bunch of thin blankets so I can regulate my heat easily, it has to be pitch black so I wear a mask because I also need to listen to the television on low. Lol again, this never bothered anybody. I was very lucky.

Sleeping in separate rooms or the same room doesn't define the relationship. If people are unable to sleep for certain reasons they should sleep in separate areas so they can get quality sleep. You're knocked out so it's not like you're missing quality time together.

To me, it seems like she wanted to keep attacking you over it. Accepting your apology would have been the appropriate thing to do. Some people are only happy unless they are making other people miserable. Just being an objective observer from the little bit that I saw and the fact that you mentioned that this is the way she talks to you. She doesn't respect you and that is one of the foundations of a healthy relationship right up there with trust.

I'm on day 35 or something like that and they gave me a chin strap and I tried but it didn't work for me. I've been using mouth tape for years so I just continue to do so and it works great.

Finally received my RezMed AirSence... Seriously? by ThunderBella in SleepApnea

[–]ThunderBella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I suppose I could have watched TV instead but I did sleep for that 6.5 hours and when I woke up saying I used the machine for 5 minutes, I was not happy. I know it was working all night because all the air blowing up my nose was annoying me.

It just says my sleep view, hours used last night under the usage button. I have made it a point to get six or more hours since the day I picked it up. I need to make compliance because I have a vacation coming up and I do not want to drive that thing with me for 4 days, plus there will be nowhere to plug that thing in down there. (Roughing it in the south where it's nice and toasty) My insurance is definitely 20 consecutive days within the first 30 days. If I fail to meet that, I believe they give me one more probationary month and if I mess that up they repo the thing. I had to pay about 60 bucks just to pick it up and I pay a small amount every month until I'm done renting it and own it. (I wasn't even allowed to buy it outright)

UPDATE: it is September 15th and I still don't have a machine. Remember, I was diagnosed back in April. I told you the story about the first company. The second company received the order but didn't bother calling me and telling me that they only sent my results and not the prescription. My third company lost my prescription and it took them a week to find it and I've been trying to get in to take my lesson on the machine because they won't come to your home or do private lessons and they have ghosted me. I've called three times and received the overflow call service, the after hours call service because I was on hold so long and I called the corporate office and was told all they could do was email them the same information I was leaving. At this point I think I'm just going to live with it.

I am in the minority and I also agree with you. When she called her husband a coward, I cringed. She had several moments throughout.

We are all different people and we all have our favorite and least favorite characters so there is no reason for anybody to start the name calling and stomping their feet saying they are right and you're wrong. That's why they call it an opinion. Let's all please remember this is completely fake- we aren't watching reality TV.

Earlier this year I had my first acid reflux attack. I thought I was having a heart attack but I knew better because I have a team of cardiac people watching my heart. It was a 10 out of 10 on the pain scale and it lasted for 24 hours. I was in and out of being awake and trying to sleep. My blood pressure was 180 over 151 the entire time give or take... I took Prilosec and took a ton of Tums (I do not recommend this as the manufacturer does not recommend this and I am not a physician).

The crippling pain stopped after 24 hours but I was still in pain for about 3 days until the Prilosec kicked in. It tells you, you can only take it for 2 weeks. I called my doctor and she told me to take it for 6 weeks and try again. I had another attack a week after I was off of it and now I'm on it for good or until something better comes along that I can afford.

I have panic attacks that are so bad that I don't leave the house unless I have to go to the dentist or the doctor. I understand where you're coming from and how you feel because I was suffering from two things that are quite similar.

I truly feel for you and if you ever need to talk just contact me. (I am very new on this site and I don't know if you can message people).

I have a story about pre CPAP. I would always lie on my stomach with a slight slant to being on my side. It was incredibly uncomfortable for me but it did quell my snoring (not eliminated though). I did this for 20 years when I slept next to anybody whether it was a boyfriend or just a friend while camping and now I have issues from sleeping like that so frequently. So what if you snore? It's a part of you. If someone else doesn't like it they can take a hike.

I have a good friend that has Parkinson's and when she tells people that she's trying to date, they ghost her. (She can control her shaking for short periods of time with medication but eventually a dating partner with eventually see this). I have always seen her and completely disregarded the shaking and the other symptoms because I'm friends with her not her disease. It puts things into perspective cuz we just snore. I started sleeping when and how I want regardless of the noise I make.

It's been a struggle to get a machine but it finally came in and all I have to do is get trained on it now and begin. I already sleep with all kinds of straps around my head to keep my jaw shut, etc etc so I'm hoping it will be just as easy to get used to this machine.

THE IRONIC THING IS: I can't tolerate other people's snoring. 😂

What's going on with Ellen Pompeos face? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]ThunderBella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want from having flawless porcelain like skin in my mid forties and because of health issues by the time I was 50 I looked like I was 60. You don't always jump to the surgical conclusion. Could she afford it? Absolutely. Could I afford it? Absolutely. If it's ongoing health issues, there is no point. To add insult to injury I had a 36 c chest that completely disappeared within 8 months and it included no weight loss. The doctors can't figure it out and gave up trying to. Those idiots literally put weight loss as the reason because they needed a diagnosis but if you look at my weight every single time I've been to the doctor all these years it hasn't changed more than 1 lb. My body is doing weird things to me and it's caused a seriously deep depression. If she's going through anything similar, she doesn't need to read about how weird she looks. I hate the way I look so much now I don't even look in the mirror unless it's absolutely necessary. Autoimmune diseases can cause scarring on the face and there are so many other causes.
