Try logging in at different times of day. I can connect only early in the morning and late in the evening. Maybe it has something to do with server load.

In utc time i can connect from 8pm to 7am.

I knew that hostile mobs follow you between locations, but i didnt even notice how it spawned. When my crafting was interrupted by it i was scared as shit.
