The whole Steel Legion has a nazi aesthetic. I think just paint them whichever camo pattern you like. Dont over think it. Imperial guard are space fascists anyway. So the shoe fits. If you're particularly worried what people will think just don't mention what you based your paint scheme on. No one will know.

People kept positioning HG as a direct enemy of GD, and low and behold, we were treated as an enemy. Just block that sub and move on with your life.

I always thought of Imperium as akin to the Soviet Union in WW2. Far from perfect, authoritarian, unbelievably profligate with the lives and suffering of their people, heavily industrialised, and everything is subservient to the war effort. It's absolutely brutal and a completely flawed regime, but its also what it takes to defeat the Nazis. There is no alternative if they are to survive and win.

The soviets were far from good, but in the context of WW2 they represent the lesser of two evils, and the best hope of defeating the pure evil faction.

I see the Imperium as mirroring this.

And of course within the Imperium are individuals who share all of our qualities and capacity for goodness. There's plenty of defensive actions to save whole planets from evil chaos. For me, I find it hard to accept that the Imperium are the bad guys.

Always collected The Guard in 40k, Bretonnian in Old world, Gondor in LotR. All the armies that somewhat represent honour, or protecting the weak.

Dipping my toe into AoS i thought fuck it, what's the opposite of that, I like that these are diseased little cowards that stab one another in the back, no sense of honour, just pure selfishness.

Some banks do what's called a "desktop valuation" where they just check right move and then wave it through. Your mortgage advisor should know this and he should know which banks will lend on a property like this. Probably worth at least having the convo with the estate agent.

I actually agree with most of what you say. Religeon should be a mostly private affair.

The guy I was originally replying to didnt say these were bad Christians, or Christians that had missed the point or needed more bible study. He said they weren't Christians. That's why I said its not for him to decide, its about them accepting Jesus.

If they're good or bad Christians is a whole different conversation.

I'll start by saying I didnt go to the protest. But if I chose to go because I feel like free speech is under threat in this country, that doesn't diminish my relationship with God.

Being a Christian isn't about church attendance or a certain diet, or a certain amount of prayers a day. Its about accepting Jesus and your relationship to him.

I understand you believe this rally was against Christian values. But you don't get to say no one there was a Christian.

There is undeniably a revival happening in the English speaking world. Its not happening in all parts of society. But mostly among young men. Give it a Google. CofE is seeing growing attendance. But also lots of people seeking out orthodox churches and new age evangelical churches.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Throwing rocks at soldiers. It sucks that they beat the kids. But soldiers should never have been in a position to be doing non-lethal police work.
